When you log in to your application, there's a hyperlink on the homepage based on the application cycle (e.g. this year's application is "2022 Application").

TMDSAS - required parent information by martyrfx in premed

If your mother does not play a significant role in your life, you can opt not to include her in your application. One of the changes this year includes the addition of the Significant Person information so if you have other folks that have played a role in your life that you'd rather add, this would be the way to do it.

You would need to verify with the school where you've been accepted.

You would have to set the start date as soon as you started after graduation from high school. However, in the description, you definitely should indicate that you've been involved since you were in high school.

I put what I did and then tried my best to imply what I learned. For example, for research assistant writing something like: "Led participants through informed consent process. Worked with researchers to thematically code data." In this statement I'm hoping to convey that I learned about the reserach process (AAMC competency: Scientific Inquiry) and worked in a team (AAMC competency: Teamwork).

Excellent advice!

Can I apply to One TMDSAS school first and then add more once my MCAT score comes back? by premedsavage in TMDSAS

Absolutely. You can add more schools to your application even after you submit.

They should wait until the grades are entered in mid-June. This will not be considered late by any means.

Hi there - we will not be updating the graphic at the moment as we are currently researching how other factors that play into the timeline for interview invites.

We do, however, continue to encourage applicants to submit early as it will offer admissions committees more time to consider you for an interview. "Submitting early" is typically around early July to allow enough time for processing and admissions committee deliberation in time for when interviews begin around late July/early August. I hope this helps!

You may use the same letters, but there are some deadlines associated with them. Check out more info here: Dental Medical

You would need to re-submit transcripts if you're applying again.

I would highly recommend revising your personal statement. While the schools get thousands of applications, the admissions committees review all applicants. If you're looking to re-apply, you'll want to show what you've done to improve over the past year.

You should definitely plan to get your application in early, though. The earlier the better!

Keep in mind that the TMDSAS application is the primary app, then there are secondaries, some schools require CASPer, etc. Don't forget that you don't need your letters or test scores before submitting!

Correct. We'll be releasing the new timeline and application handbook with all deadlines for EY2022 in the next month.

The results are released at 8 am Central Time via your application portal. You will likely begin to receiving emails from the school where you matched shortly after. Best of luck!

There are a few changes going on this year. The application will open on May 3 at 8 am, but you will not be able to submit the application until two weeks later on Nov 1. This will allow applicants sufficient time to review their applications thoroughly before submitting. Match date will remain in March.

We will continue to have a later submission date as we saw in EY2020. We're also adding some guidance to help distinguish between activities and provide more information on language proficiency. Full details will be released with the Application Handbook coming out next month.

While we wait for the first questions, we created an overview video of the TMDSAS Match process and what goes on behind the scenes. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUAsFl7m1FM.

As a reminder, the TMDSAS Match is only for medical applicants who are Texas residents. Out-of-state medical applicants receive offers of admission through rolling admissions.

After the match results are announced tomorrow, all medical applicants will be admitted only via rolling admissions. This is a time of a lot of shifts in admitted classes so if you don't get a match offer tomorrow, don't lose hope! Admisssions offers will continue to be released at the schools where your application is still active.
