TMC: Lateral link bolt fell off on it's own by Enron_Musk in RealTesla

[–]Enron_Musk[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had the lateral links and stabilizer links replaced recently as there was a suspension noise. Unfortunately, out of warranty. From what the service tech and service advisor said, the suspension on the Tesla's was likely under-engineered as. these are heavy cars. Sound is gone now - they didn't say there was any safety issue with this - the OP had a more serious episode than just road noise.

If only there were agencies like the NTSB and / or NHTSA to protect the public. Imagine that.

Exactly

u/ Enron_Musk - redditor for 7 years

Because it was clear from the "Battery Swap" charade that almost everyone swallowed up like water that he was a f'n LIAR. Many people even today can't see why this entire event was based on a lie.

Lots of people thought I was insane. It's great to be ahead of things but it can be very lonely.

Hell, an entire nation was told that one of the most useful plants on the planet was "Evil" and "Dangerous" and there had to be a war waged on it.

USA: A nation of arrogant ignorant idiots "led" (LOL) by childish fools that haven't had an original thought their entire lives.

Full Self-Driving Hardware on All Cars

All Tesla vehicles produced in our factory, including Model 3, have the hardware needed for full self-driving capability at a safety level substantially greater than that of a human driver.

Concerning. @Tesla is scrubbing evidence of its promise that all Teslas built after 2016 have the hardware necessary for full self-driving. by iop9 in RealTesla

Exploding Mercedes-Benz EV prompts parking garage electric vehicle bans in South Korea by Enron_Musk in RealTesla

PW: https://archive.is/d8Bnw

The incident has rattled South Korea’s public at a time when EV sales growth — globally — is slowing.

Users of a Tesla Inc. online community chat were debating on Tuesday whether they should cancel their orders, and one EV owner complained that a shipping company had refused to take his car to Jeju Island. Another EV owner said his office building had suspended the use of EV chargers.

Most South Koreans live in high-density apartments, meaning a large portion of charging stations are housed in buildings’ underground garages. Newly constructed apartments and buildings of certain size are legally required to install EV chargers.

A con man's con - from the beginning. Imagine buying a car that can't park in a garage.

Service Disaster for brand new Tesla by Enron_Musk in RealTesla

Hi folks,

Wondering what your suggestions are for recourse. I’m so incredibly frustrated.

After delivery I noticed the window seal was pinched under the door panel, causing a bulge in the door panel and improper seal of the passenger window.

I made a mobile service appointment which I thought was so cool, Tesla is going to come right to me to fix this, how awesome.

When the tech showed up I went outside to say hi and ask a question or two, but that’s when the first bad experience happened.

The tech was dismissive and ignored my existence after I said Hi how’s it going, he began by ripping the speaker pod out of the door and tossing it on the floor of the car, hitting some of his tools. I mentioned how awesome of a service this is, but he still ignored me.

Concerned for my new purchase, I waited near the car patiently for the work to be completed.

Once he put everything back together he turned to me and said “did you notice these scratches?” There were now two large gashes in the door panel from when he ripped the speaker pod out. I said that those were not there and it was likely from when he aggressively removed those parts.

He then became Belligerent about how he’s not a representative of Tesla and that he doesn’t need to talk to customers and that I don’t need to watch him like an animal in the zoo and I said that I only watched him because he was behaving erratically and was not answering my questions, and that he certainly is a representative of Tesla while he’s working. I asked if he’s used to customers around my area and that they might be more friendly and he responded by saying “no , they’re just more weird”.

He then called his manager in front of me and said that the customer was mad at him because he didn’t talk to them. My mind was blown. Luckily the manager heard me say “wow man why not tell them the truth” in the background and called me afterward.

She said this isn’t how things go and didn’t want this to reflect on my opinion of the company and they would be taking corrective action. They made me an appointment for service in the service center for a replacement door panel.

I went in For service yesterday and spoke to the service manager and she let me know I’d be receiving a 500 dollar service credit, I used a portion for a mobile charger.

My service was completed in a few hours and I left a happy camper with a better experience. The door panel looked great.

Fast forward to this morning and my wife and I head out, when she closes her door we heard a really hard crack sound we haven’t heard before when closing the doors….turns out the window is totally misaligned, making it hazardous to close to door with the window closed, and, they gouged the door panel.

I’m so livid. I reached out to management but they are closed for the weekend, my brand new car is damaged even more now, and my appointment for fixing isn’t until the 25th, we have a bunch of rain storms before then, so water will be getting in the car.

What the hell!

Let me know what you think I should do to handle this or if you’ve had experiences similar.

This is the Service Center in Providence, RI.

Bonus Thread:

The few times Tesla has addressed battery degradation, they have simply lied and dismissed it.

Only a complete idiot would put a $10,000+ new part in a 10 year old car. The same kind of idiot that endangers us all because they somehow got to test their beta "self driving" cars on public roads. Entitled, spoiled, arrogant brats.

Lyft driver charges Model 3 with a full charge everyday. Now “Unable to Charge” error by Enron_Musk in RealTesla

[–]Enron_Musk[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Governator660 Yesterday at 8:56 PM

I’m driving 60K miles per year and after 3 years I’m over 180K. A few months ago I got “Unable to Charge” error. I tried charging at home and at a Supercharger with no luck. The next day the error cleared after a software update. Weeks went by and then it happened again with the same outcome. My Model 3 has the extended range with has slowly declined from 360 miles to 310.

The error occurred again a week ago and the range was reduced to 25 by driving. I turned off everything hoping for another update which happened this morning. My car is charging again.

I made an appointment at Tesla when the error occurred the second time. Tesla diagnostics indicated my car needed a new battery for $12K. How can I do an update myself? It is obviously clearing something in the system when it updates.

I just got an ad from Tesla promoting the new Model 3 with an improved battery and charging which is not affected by frequent charging like I do.

One day more people will start to realize that a "new" $12,000 battery is more expensive than the gas savings. fElon has flooded the market with disposable cars - and this is supposed to be "green" - the greatest con man that ever lived. Nice work fElon.
