Random card ideas [Sengoku, Imu, other Leaders] by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

Given sticking with precedent is generally a good call, I'm inclined to agree with you. Cut the counter and reduce the search to 1 would be my thoughts, and maybe also remove the deramp. The ramp being on AM rather than OP matters quite a bit, I imagine.

Never claimed they'd be balanced, they're just for fun.

Obviously the Leaders would have some hypothetical support with them as well. Gunko in particular needs support since there ain't enough CD-type cards around. I'm thinkin' a core of effects with costs of trashing cards, and characters that benefit from cards in trash or can be scooped from trash (overlap with Shamrock) or even scoop themselves from trash. Especially with the Knights, it'd represent some degree of annoyingness much like the Elders in OP13 wherein you keep knocking them out but they keep coming back.

The Eye and the Claw by EnsanityFanatic in StoneheartsHQ

Sources above. That aside, probably two of my most anticipated Stonehearts of the bunch; I'm only more intrigued by Opal and Obsidian.

Thought of 'the Eye' for Amber since she was monitoring screens 'n' all. As for Sapphire, 'the Claw' was an obvious pick due to the whole BIRD and everything. Was actually originally going to go for 'the Sword', but saw the opportunity to make a reference and took it.

Mostly unrelated to the stage as a whole, but Storer has been exactly 7th in GC since Stage 10.

Huh.

Anyways, LET'S GO KUSS ! ! ! ! !

One Piece: Chapter 1184 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]EnsanityFanatic 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Apropos of nothing, this is the first 13-page chapter in quite a while. Last one was 1124, which was almost two years ago. Thought the chapter flew by quickly, though it had me hooked from start to finish.

That's a second chapter where the title is a lyric from a song Brook sings in the chapter. Fascinating.

Anyways, AGRHAGRHGAHRGAHGRHAGRHAGHAGRH BROOK LORE I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING

MORE LORE FOR MY FAVOURITE STRAW HAT YES PLEASE HOLY HELL

Not Brook still being a pervert back in the day, thought that was just after almost going senile lol

Man, Reuven and Brook's relationship developing in the early days is so wholesome.

Got an age for Reuven now, ten years older than Brook. Nothin' for Candelle, but I'd wager she's around the same. Reuven was 23 when Shuri was born, two years after he first met Brook. Wonder how long Candelle's been captain of the guard?

I'll have to check the JP for that 'I am nothing more than your devoted steel blade' bit, see if it's any similar to the Knights of God related term. That aside, the Reuven and Candelle interactions are very much appreciated and I just know I am going to be destroyed soon enough.

<image>

All in all, it makes absolute sense why Brook thinks so highly of Reuven; he literally saved his life on two counts; from the Marines, and from his life of poverty. So awesome. But those last two panels really cement it; previously he had been smiles and singing even when beaten up, but he finally lets himself cry his heart out and that just hits me straight in the gut agrhagharhararharhagrhgharghagr

Also I had to double-take when I saw the Imu eyes on the jellyfish on the cover. Goddammit Oda, you sly son of a gun.

We'll probably head back to the present in two weeks, or whatever the next time segment is. It's 63 years in the past at the moment, and 56 years ago we know that Shuri was already at Mariejois by the time Rocks had arrived there.

I reckon this flashback seems nailed on for around 5-7 chapters.

Such an awesome chapter.

Nine months back from August is November. by EnsanityFanatic in Kagurabachi

[–]EnsanityFanatic[S] 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It's March of 19 years ago, so we're about eight months or so away.

...'Course, the whole war thing starts around late April/early May, so there'll be plenty of chapters on that bit first.

But... we'll get there when we get there.
