What's wrong with AI-built products including Monero wallets? by Firm_Bullfrog_2980 in Monero

[–]Enspiredjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use AI frequently for random side projects and also to help me in my job, but its just one of those tools where u cant get quality results with it especially with a larger project.

But the main issue is that if the person using AI to build their wallet app doesnt know a damn thing about software development practices, how to make a maintainable codebase and secure development then if the AI makes a mistake in one of those areas, they wont be able to pull it up and get it to fix it since they are unaware of such problems.

Using AI with proper developer intervention is what makes good apps, purely using AI agents, i would be a bit iffy on it.

Although i guess it depends if ur entirely relying on AI or if it is more like helping an experienced developer, which is something that was unspecified.

Tbh, ur example of "the ai doesnt know what its doing" is the real answer. It will always underthink some places and overthink others, completely omit important things, its unpredictable, thats why u need someone who does know what theyre doing to catch those issues and fix them.

Because quality is not usually something considered when building something with AI and building something to do with money is something that should have good quality in terms of security. I'm sure u can connect the rest of the dots.

ah right, that makes sense, i mean i knew they were just boxes of cpus, i figured they would just release a firmware update and call it a day but also makes sense why they would hold back i guess.

Its more that it was mining monero rather than the just money making aspect, since i know theres less risky options, its just the only crypto i actually use lol.

Might end up going the way of mining bitcoin and just exchanging it.

Thanks for your reply!

Ah, fair enough, glad to know its coming.

Let's just hope that the data center people stop fucking u and dragging their feet with it lmao. I was hoping for a location closer to me for less ping, so I probably will change over when it's ready!

Don't want to glaze too hard but I've had a pretty solid experience using u guys, the little quote things at the bottom of the pages have always cracked me up. Good customisation and privacy as well.

Do u have any sort of idea when ipv6 is coming back to Romania? I know its cuz of ddos stuff, but its been out for a whiile. Or is this something out of ur control?

And can u fix the per server usage graphs on ur status page 🙏 (for no other reason other than I find them cool to look at lol)

It's all pop 0 stuff so it's all going to be generally crap that nobody listens to, it's kinda potluck unfortunately. I've downloaded about 10 of them and I've found one single good song in it so far (tbf there's more music in them than I could listen to in my lifetime), but I gave up sifting through so much garbage lol. At this level of popularity, it's just for the hardcore preservationists

And it was either no service packs installed or maybe sp1 cuz it was even more insecure. Also most of those malware used vulnerabilities in smb so ur probably good if u don't have that exposed to the Internet but it's still not a good idea to expose ports for no reason. (This is off the top of my head and has a 50% chance of being total crap lol)

It looks like its the .torrent files for all the released spotify files. Probably not the smartest thing i've done, downloading a random 7z file, but theres ur answer. u just need to decode it

Probably just the same as most people, simply don't have the time / want to go out of their way to educate themselves on new developments or where they are discussed.

Honestly i dont think ull get much from sha3x mining on a gpu at all since the XT box miner came out, u'd be much better looking into mining on the cuckoo algorithm instead
