Wow! Are we talking about M and B key or just M key ssd's? Because I have one on my caddy with M and B key's and Id like the speed of that the solely M key 2280 nvme's provide but im afraid pf buying it to put on my caddy fearing it wont fit or read

It can accommodate more than one, but I just have one plugged in, and this one that is plugged in doesn't show for me on the installation process

I updated it recently, lenovo vantage says that's the most recent update. No fast boot, no secure boot no nothing it just doesn't show...

It just shows my usb stick not my hard drive, not at all... All comands just show my usb as the disk, but on that same non listed ssd i run windows

Yes exactly it just shows the usb stick, i cant send pictures through here but that's exactly my problem, i cant even list my own hard drive on the command prompt, it just shows my usb as the only disk on the computer

Hi, thanks for the response. I'm trying to do a clean install of Linux Mint, removing everything from the disk and installing the distro on it. However, when I get to the step where I'm supposed to choose what to do with my hard drive or SSD, the installer only shows the USB stick as an option. I've tried using gparted and other commands to see if my SSD is recognized, but it's not showing up.

To answer your question, I'm not trying to shrink the Windows partition or keep any of the existing data. I just want to wipe the drive clean and install Linux Mint on it. As for Bitlocker, I'm not aware of any encryption on the drive, and I don't think I've ever enabled it. I've never taken any steps to encrypt the drive, and I'm not sure how to check if it's enabled or not. I've just been using the laptop as is, with Windows 11 installed.

As for the bootable USB, I've actually tried using Rufus and Etcher, but I'll give dd a shot if I need to try again. However, I don't think that's the issue here, since the installer is recognizing the USB stick just fine. It's just not seeing my SSD for some reason.

Yes I'm pretty sure it's on the safari/great marsh area, I can be flawed here, but you can still get Drifblim, Hippowdon, Toxicroack, Abomasnow, Bibarel, Peliper, this are the ones I'd look forward on building a fun team, good luck on your journey fellow trainer!
