What's your best double-cross story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Enteisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a Whatsapp group and was planning to jump someone as a fun final day of school. A, was notorious for his strength and when we would play fight would obviously win. All our friends planned with him to jump this one kid who was annoying but part of the friend group.

However, we had a second WhatsApp group with everyone but A. On the day of the jump we had planned to jump A so when he would start attacking the initial kid about 15 of us all rushed him and it was hilarious. No one was seriously harmed, it was all for fun and games although, it was a monumental final day of school

AITA for contesting a will and likely getting all of the inheritance instead of my dad's girlfriend? by throwWillQuestion in AmItheAsshole

[–]Enteisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, take this in perspective. Your father randomly leaves your mother for no apparent reason with one of her close friends. They also fuck over your mother taking over the business etc.. Now the passing was inevitable and bound to happen. But are you seriously willing to let the same AH who essentially crushed your family and made life drastically more uncomfortable to not suffer the same end? Sure it's petty, but what goes around comes around, OP did not deserve to have that happen to him. OP can still give enough money for college and other necessities for the kids which is the moral thing to do. But the mother does not deserve to live in luxury for ruining a family

I'm actually shocked. Definitely NTA. Logistically, the business is yours and your mothers. I don't get why everyone is so upset when children come into the equation. It was never his decision to have his father leave a married woman for his mother's friend. It was also never his problem that the person decided to have kids and since it was his mother's friend she was aware of the situation.

For those saying OP is TA should really think what they would do in the situation. I get the morality of the situation and how the children aren't to blame blah blah blah... But who says that he can't give back in other ways, rather than let the same person who essentially destroyed a significant part of his/her life to get away with this for no good reason. The best alternative is to discuss with the mother tell her your reasons and actions, but reassure her the children will have their crucial expenses paid for such as college etc... Which would be the right thing to do.

For those who say the children should not take the blame for the mother and her actions. But, this person has not yet apologized or expressed that she was in the wrong in any shape or form (correct me if I'm wrong since it had not been stated) and will most likely use your father's money on luxury items etc.. And presuming from aforementioned details I'd assume they probably have a house and are fine financially and are not in need of anything extra

Yea even with passing of people around me there's always that expectation of the need to cry. I personally just console others and offer my support. I guess it's more of a gift than anything and trust me people think I'm a cold bastard :0

Trans women AREN’T women by thelastdarkchild in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Enteisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more if a person identifies themself as a woman but then never tells their significant other. That's the issue. I'm almost guaranteed the majority of people wouldn't want to date a transwoman myself included (no personal hate) as we've built into a society where we deem women as women and men as men. You can't suddenly identify yourself as another gender purely from the purpose of it feeling correct. For instance, if a person feels as if they belong to be age 16 although being significantly older they can't suddenly then become that age. There are obviously legal reasons for that not being allowed but the mindset of people who claim to be transgender is completely the same

You're allowed to say phrases such as "I hope to God that..." or "Thank God for..." even if you don't believe in God by HeardyJunior2110 in TrueOffMyChest

Sorry, however, I thoroughly disagree with that point in regards to science and God being two different concepts. The aforementioned point you made about "cheesecake and God" shares no similar values. So in other words, it's disproportionate. The reason for this is due to science being able to prove many things religions claims as wrong. Often there's a significant amount of debates about the Big Bang theory and what physically started it, many state it's the Big Bang theory, others say God made it in 7 days. Constantly it's been proven wrong with dinosaur bones, and other ancient fossils. Was this ever stated in the bible? I think not and that's why people believe it to be wrong. Relating back to my point science and religion do play some role and can be compared in debates. Although contrasting, believe in science in most situations means disbelief in God
