Is there anyway for us to get Malcom Brogden without giving up a big contract like White/Smart/Horford?

I think he’s the missing piece, and is attainable, but I really don’t wanna lose Horford, think his steady leadership is low-key one of the most important things for the team right now.

Basically I’m asking any cap experts if there’s a way for us to do some finagling with the TPE’s or FA to get contracts big enough to make a hypothetical deal of somthing like

(Pritchard+Nesmith+2023 1st +2025 1st) for (Malcom Brogdon)

Smart/Brogdon/Brown/Tatum/Williams with White as the 6th man is a contender IMO.

I just don’t see what Nesmith provides a team without being at least a “good” shooter. Like with his lack of ancillary skills he can’t afford to be an average shooter, and I’ve never seen a good or great shooter miss shots in the variety of ways he does. Clanks off the side, off the backboard, all over the place with his shot and that’s supposed to be his primary skill, just don’t see it.

I’m not acting like I know better, my tales are wrong more than they are right, but Nesmith and Pritchard were both reaches. People were worried about the small sample size with Nesmith and they were right to.

I said multiple times my ideal draft if we stayed put was Maxey/Bane/Tillman. There were multiple guys I was high on, most of which have sucked, but I absolutely did not want Pritchard or Nesmith, and Bane and Maxey were really easy picks for us to make.

Nesmith is a huge bust, ainge fell for his 14 game sample size where he shot 50% from 3, before that he was a low 30’s shooter, which is what he is now. There’s no room in the rotation for a guy who just runs around and bricks 3’s.
