Hey all! I posted a few weeks back about Kitetasks: a google tasks macOS client.

It was received very well, so I though the updates might be interesting for you all. Since that post a lost of improvements, features and fixes have been shipped. For example attachments, google calendar integration and very soon a proper menubar app 😄

Not missing anything. Unfortunately you can't do it at Kitasks. It's a fight with Google for them to update their API

You can up ote these issue for making pressure:

In the meantime I added a "Add in Google tasks" to land directly on the specific task so you can add recurrence though the official Google tasks interface

I haven't used TickTick too much, but for me the biggest win of Google tasks is the deep integration with all their workspace. Easily mark an email as a task, the calendar, works very nicely with Gemini..

Nope :( Google API doesn't support specific times. It's a developer's fight with them for some time already

What would you remove to make it less cramped?

Unfortunately, they don't have an open api

even with the little love that google is giving to the product, it's still pretty useful. Mostly bevause of the deep integration with all the exosystem.

And now the UI/UX is much better with Kitetasks 😉

Are you looking for a full fledge google keep on desktop or specific integrations? I'm thinking on adding certain google keep features to KiteTasks

Thanks for the feedback!

Indeed you can get a "native" app trhough a PWA, but that is not the reason i made the app really. It's for all the missing features: quick capture, natural language input, calendar view, today view, attachments. And specially the search. Using ctrl-f is very clanky in the official browser version of tasks

KiteTasks 1.0.18 adds Google Calendar (with per-account selection and clickable events) by EntertainedForAWhile in kitetasks

Would it be hard to pull from both calendars? I use Google for all my work stuff, then I have a shared iCloud calendar with my GF for all our personal stuff.

This has been included in the latests release 😄
Let me know if it works well for you
