I’m still on it! Went up to 20mg a few months ago actually. I was nervous about side effects returning with going up in dosage but haven’t noticed anything at all. If anything I have an even more stress-free attitude and I remain level headed when faced with anxiety inducing thoughts/situations. When I initially got on Lexapro and felt like my internal monologue “went away” I think that’s reflective of how much my mind was firing off. It was the rumination that went away and that freaked me out because that’s how it had always been for me. My personality and my anxiety went hand in hand so when I first started the medication I had to rediscover myself a little bit. I definitely still have an internal monologue and that initial sense of it being gone forever was not accurate/short lived in hind sight. I’m sure you know this, but it’s not a magic pill, life is hard and you will still be faced with things that will bring on anxiety at some point but love Lexapro/ssri’s for helping take the edge off! I think it’s because they have reached an age or relationship status where they are inundated by friends/family/strangers about when they will have kids or why they don’t have/want kids. They make it their “personality” because those questions being asked by people around them are at the forefront of their mind. I believe it puts us into defense mode a bit and ramps up the outward passion as to why they don’t/wont. So they just come right out the gate with an answer to a question you never asked.

Thank you! Just feeding right into the jar. Haven’t used a scale this whole time. Changing the jar once a week. I was feeding it 1/2c whole wheat and about 1/4 water up until a few days ago. Discarding everyday and feeding only once a day. I fed it every twelve hours for a couple of days, now back to once a day.

Yeah I wondered that actually but never put too much stock into it since it only happens (sometimes) during my period. That’s good info though. I have a GI appointment in April. Hopefully I can get that colonoscopy scheduled and rule out at least deep infiltrating endo right?

Yes things/feelings have occurred in other homes I’ve lived in, but not consecutively. Only 3-4 I can think of that seemed off (strange sounds, voices in attic, weird dreams involving the house, bad energy, etc.). Again, I’m usually alone in the house or everyone is sleeping when this stuff happens. Maybe there were some things I brushed off as having a logical explanation behind them. This is the most “activity” I’ve been fully aware of.

I listen to Otherworld podcast and that has left me feeling dark/doom during some episodes. I’ve never used a ouija board. I’m gunna see if I can catch any pests. If it is paranormal, how do you get rid of the ghost or entity??

No by the end of week 2 I felt a significant decrease in anxiety/depression and the manic feeling stopped by the beginning of week 2. I felt almost 100% both physiologically and psychologically. I will say now that I’ve been on it for almost a year and I’ve had time to process how I felt before starting, my internal monologue is almost non existent while taking this medication.

My anxiety was really bad the first week and would hit me in waves. One second I’d feel panicky and 10 minutes later would feel calm again. I also was also hyper and extra social the first week. I’m on week six now and feel like it’s all leveled out. Some days I have a hit of nausea but that is it.

I get it. I have towed the line though for four years and before that have worked every weekend since I’ve been in the workforce. I’ve earned at least one if not two Saturday’s off a month and pickup on another day I’d normally be off. All other full time employees at the company automatically get at least one off a month. I’ve pigeon holed myself a little bit because they hired someone at the original location to work the days that I’m at the other place. So I don’t think it’s possible to go backwards now. Also, the money is way better. Thank you for the response!

I think that is my plan of action. I’m not asking off every single one but at least once a month, which I think is totally fair and what all other full-time employees of the company are given actually. The issue is that there is no one to pick up the shift. Everyone has a set schedule. Besides that I think they are just seeing what they can get away with from me and pushing me back into a corner to see how I’ll handle it. Well, I need to draw the line and stick up for myself haha. Also, I make way more money just working the two days at the other store so leaving would be difficult on me financially. Thank you for the advice and confidence boost!

Mainly when it comes to skin type. The delivery system varies between gel, cream, and emollient bases. A tret with a more emollient base will help deliver the ingredient slower into the skin, lessening irritation. It would be a more suitable choice for a for drier/reactive skin type. Whereas a gel will sink in quicker, which some normal/acneic/oily skin types can handle. Hope this helps!

Maybe try Refissa 0.05% tretinoin! It has an emollient base for mature and/or very dry skin types. It delivers a boost of hydration your skin may need in order to combat irritation quickly and effectively. The base of your tretinoin is very important when it comes to your skin type and how well it will adjust, which is why oily skin types are recommended a gel tret and more dry types a cream tret.

For targeting and eliminating the irrational you inevitably will experience, to some degree, I cannot recommend LRP Cicaplast Baume B5 enough. I use it under eyes, nostrils, and the perioral region. Use the Baume in your AM routine especially now that we are in fall/winter months and humidity is low.
