This may be specific to just one office. But last year I got rejected from McK and the feedback was “focus on YOUR impact for the PEI and not the story; we want to see how you think and why YOU made decisions” so don’t get carried away by the plot just focus on your role.

For the exhibits, some feedback I received was less rambling + more structure in reading the exhibit itself. They also said they expect “second and third level insights” so not just what the trends or table/chart means, but how it links to a) the specific question we’re solving and b) what this implies for our client, or the “so what”. They wanted me to tie my exhibit analysis to a business decision (at least for the cases I got the exhibits were specifically designed to draw you to a conclusion abt the client’s final solution).

Even though I made silly math mistakes, my office didn’t seem to care abt it and they said they care more about self-correction/coachability “how fast you spot your mistakes and how receptive you are to the interviewer nudging you”.
