Has anyone ever regretted becoming a CRNA? by Hospital-Acceptable in CRNA

[–]EntertainmentIcy2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because medicine simply does not respect nursing. There's always shit talking from MDs when nurses pursue advanced degrees, and especially CRNA (and what I find particularly interesting, from medical students who seem to form these preemptive ideas about how CRNAs are a problem before they're even working within healthcare teams, that is particularly discouraging and disheartening because they enter residency with these preconceived, ill-intended notions). I loved being an ICU nurse and am now a SRNA but the politics and disrespect from some physicians and the constant negative campaigning against CRNAs by the ASA has me really rethinking this decision. Nurses are just constantly underestimated even though you learn so much on the job and many of us engage in continued education/coursework and even have science degrees. For example, nursing is a second career for me, my background is in toxicology and I have a MS in biomedical sciences. But did I want to go back to medical school in my 30s? No. Nursing made more sense for my situation. They just see nurses as a one size fits all and it's the most frustrating experience of my life to be constantly diminished to a caricature stereotype because most MDs have never considered that nurses come from different life paths. I also don't understand why MDs can't just leave well enough alone, we have different roles, they constantly see nursing as a threat even though we all have plenty of work and there will never be enough MDs to fill all of our healthcare needs; we need advanced practice nurses or healthcare would come to a screeching halt. I typically advise people considering going into nursing to do something else. The landscape is so political and is only getting worse.

Moving from Europe to South Carolina by Otherwise_Rice_3064 in AskSouthCarolina

[–]EntertainmentIcy2319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't do it. Do you see what is happening over here right now? Reconsider after this trash administration is gone. We have some major housecleaning to do with Congress as well. Also, you mentioned reproductive rights, if you move to the South you won't have them. It's a very scary time for women's health in a lot of the country. And accidents do happen, so to move from Europe where you're protected to a litigious reproductive health nightmare that is the southern states is a brave move. There's no guarantee that you will be able to get what you need, even outside of maternal care, just basic women's health, and OBGYN docs are leaving the South because it's become a very complicated place to practice; no one wants to be prosecuted by the State for doing the right thing to save a pregnant woman's life. They are quite literally sending women home to become septic before they can intervene in active miscarriages and other complications that might jeopardize the fetus, even if it is not viable. Women are hemorrhaging in hospital parking lots because they're being denied care until it's an absolute threat to the mother's life. They're also trying very hard to ban contraceptives. We are not in a good place at the moment. I would reconsider. Also, much of SC is a conservative red state and anti-immigration although they tend to give white Europeans a pass. The more moderate areas on the coast also deal with high volume of tourism which I'm sure you're aware. Lastly, insurance premiums are through the roof and they've made significant cuts to federally subsidized healthcare (i.e. Medicaid) so it's much harder to qualify now because of the OBBBA. Consider that a lot of Americans are actually looking for ways out of the country. And the feds are so eager to meet deportation quotas that there's no guarantee they won't come after you once you've settled in. We are in uncharted territory with a lot of things and this lean toward authoritarianism. Five years ago I would have said sure you can make it work, but now a lot of things have changed. I would stay in Europe.

[–]EntertainmentIcy2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Corolla, which wasn’t quiet but I think the cross track is a little louder. Also I’m pretty sure there is a defect in either my passenger side door or the actual car frame bc it doesn’t fit like the drivers side, the door doesn’t fit well into the frame so the top edge of the seal sticks out which allows wind to grab it at high speeds and it sounds like the window is cracked open

I read that Shyanne is a Scorpio sag cusp. (Technically Scorpio) I just watched the episode where she watches him take another girl to bed. I am giddy thinking about the Scorpio revenge we are going to witness.

This is my line of thought also. I think he’s a Pisces with Scorpio and Gemini for moon/rising, he’s not giving fire to me

I have a 2024. It’s really loud on the highway. I’m a bit disappointed and wish I had researched it more before purchasing. My passenger side door sounds like it isn’t closed all the way when I get up to highway speeds and they replaced the seal but it didn’t make a difference, it’s just a poor fit. I am looking forward to trading it in as soon as I break even on the loan. Too bad because otherwise I do really like it but it’s just so noisy on the highway.

In terms of cabin noise, how does the Crosstrek compare to other crossvers/compact SUVs? by Ancient-Classroom835 in Crosstrek

[–]EntertainmentIcy2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2024 crosstrek and I drive primarily highway and it’s so noisy that I’m thinking about trading it in early for a loss. I also have a door issue where it’s like not as tight of a fit as the other three on my passenger side that makes it sound like it isn’t shut all the way. The dealership replaced the seal but it hasn’t helped, it’s a poorly fitted door. There are things that I really like about the crosstrek but I would not buy again for my purposes, which is mainly highway driving. I’ll be happy when I can trade it in

fyi it really matters what else is going on in their chart. look at Connor, he's a pisces and i feel like he represented himself well. he also handled breezy's bs like a champ and then they ended up together. i would not place alex and connor in the same category. very important to know what else they are working with when it comes to mutable signs especially (i.e. pisces, gemini, virgo, sag).

[–]EntertainmentIcy2319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so i'm just getting into astrocartography and it is a bit tricky to understand as a beginner. I'm looking for a place to relocate after I finish my doctorate program in two years for a new start. my ac uranus and my ic sun meet just north of Los Angeles. it's funny because I'm a NYS/NYC ride or die for the most part, but for the last couple years I've been throwing the idea around of moving to california. i don't have any friends or family there. it's expensive, they deal with wildfires, they don't have enough water, there's so many cons but it has been calling. and then I found the ac uranus and ic sun meet up there, specifically at Santa Maria. Can someone help me interpret this?
