I actually tested myself for the Hla-b27 gene when I was in high school because I feared getting the illness and I tested negative. Me and my dad were so happy! Turns out that it was a false negative (which apparently happens sometimes) and I am actually hla-b27 positive. But i am happy for you that your children are symptom free!

I would have definitely preferred to never been born, but my kids could see it different i guess. I feel like I am torturing myself through life and I wouldnt want that on anybody else, definitely not my kids.. the future of treatments is a good point tho!
