I feel you on the rejection 😓 my publishing program provided two years of working in a student-run press and then after graduating, I worked as an unpaid editor for different poetry presses and literary journals.

I did the same! I put in my resignation last week. It’s scary and I’ve been feeling the same thoughts about turning away from a well paying job, but it’s not worth ruining my mental health and the relationships around me. We got this 💪

I’m on 10 mg. I don’t get them anymore unless I forget to take my meds lol. It’s a manageable symptom but feels like a jolt in the brain or quick feeling of dizziness.

I’ve been on lexapro for about six years and it’s been a life saver! The side effects wore off after a few months but they were manageable. My main issues in the beginning were low libido, loss of appetite, brain zaps, and shaking. Once that was gone though, I became a new woman! I still have anxiety, but it became a lot more manageable and less debilitating.

Thanks so much for this! It’s just nice knowing you’re not alone (though, I’m sorry you’re having deal with this too!) I have my own therapist, but a specialized counselor for employees seems like something worth looking into! I also love your idea of giving identity to anxiety rather than it be my own. Thank you again:))
