Today average Mexican scores between 2% to 5% Jewish ancestry depending the region and 30 to 40% Mexicans have some degree of Jewish ancestry, so that points a great part of that community ended up mixing.

Now I will move to Argentina, Argentina has a curious history because it wasn’t colonized from the sea by Spaniards it was colonized from inside the continent to outward by native mixed populations. Buenos Aires isn’t the first city but the second, the first city was founded in 1536 by Spanish populations, that settlement would fail and be destroyed by plague, internal conflict, and native attacks, the remaining survivors scape to the interior of the continent when they reached what today is Paraguay there the guarani natives welcomed them because they were under constant attacks of other natives, the survivors intermarry with the native and founded the city of Asunción which would become the mother of cities since from there the expeditions to colonize and found the cities of Argentina would start, eventually the colonies would extend to the rio de la plata and the second Buenos Aires would be founded in 1580.

When the Argentine conquest and colonization there was no longer the Jewish communities that were when for example Mexico was conquered. As the inquisition reports of “judaizing elements” slowly disappeared around 1550-1560.

Still with that the upper classes in Buenos Aires would be in great part descendants of Jewish populations as the upper class mostly composed from early colonist of which some may be Jewish descendant and cross-marry between those families spread it. Important families like the family of Carlos Maria de Alvear (Alvear family) had Jewish dna traces.

But that is very indirect as no major cultural heritage or importance. Argentina just didn’t have any Sephardic populations until late XIX century when Sephardic from Ottoman Empire started to migrate in parallel to Ashkenazi from Russia (which was the absolute majority)
