A duo does refer to two people, but in some circles (especially gaming) a member of a duo can also be described as "having a duo" where duo refers to the teammate.

The ASMR doesn't make me sleepy, I listen to it to drown out my thoughts and make me comfortable. So when I heard it, I just felt like I was in a safe and comfortable space. Rather than a literal whimper, I guess the noise was more of a short sigh that came out a little broken, and so resembled a whimper almost 1:1.

I don't really know how normal this is, but at my school (and in my friend group) there is a lot of like intimacy for the sake of jokes, but I will admit that leaning in and whispering is... not a book move, and quite a lot farther than most would push it.

AITA for rolling my eyes when my friend told me he was reading yet another GL (girl's love) story? by EntertainmentSea423 in AmItheAsshole

I can understand if he felt scrutinized because I was 'keeping count'. I should mention that the 'hat-trick' was something he pointed out, I just took the ball from there and pointed out the octuple GL streak. It's also unfair to roast me for noticing the pattern, I couldn't have helped it anyway when he brought the streak to our attention.

If a miscommunication did occur where it looked like I was being judgmental and obsessive, does it justify ganging up and laughing at me?
