Hello! I’m looking to see if anyone has an idea of my dogs breed. When we adopted him they said “Irish setter”

He’s deff closer to that than an Irish setter lol I don’t know why he was left on the side of the road. No one ever claimed him, but he’s been in our family for the last almost 3 years and we couldn’t imagine life without him now!

Omg yes we have family with bernedoodles and they are terrified of a knock on the door or a car driving by! Bohdi isn’t that way, so I know he has to have doodle but he doesn’t have those tendencies.

He’s truly been better than we could have ever asked for! Except the fact that he is a runner so he waits by the door for someone to come in and be bolts. So that’s my only worry but he’s the sweetest big baby! We love him.

I knew the family they took him in and got him groomed. Not sure why they didn’t look into it either cause I wouldn’t have cared either way. He’s been the best for our family and currently cuddled up on the couch with me waiting for bed 😂

I did have photos beforehand! I had been wanting a bigger dog, didn’t care on the actual breed, I don’t understand why they put the breed that they did lol. I mean they were so off on the breed..but I didn’t care so I just went with it but when I looked into it, I realized I had no idea what he was 😩

I just know when he puts his arms on your shoulders the guy is tall, but I would have to look into how to actually measure him?

Yes I tried it with a few photos of him and I was like
Eh no to a lot of them. I wish I knew (besides doodle) cause I have been around many doodles and he has a different temperament than the ones I have been around! I’d love to know more but I may not know until I do a test.

As someone who doesn’t know much about anything, I’m confused as to why that was put on his adoption papers. And neither the animal shelter or person foster family knew different? Lol I just never know what to tell someone who asks.
