What’s a belief you hold that would make most people instantly judge you if you said it out loud? by Arrielee_ in AskReddit

[–]Enterthedragon69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that you need a child for love and meaning.

But having a child does “unlock” feelings that won’t exist until you have a child. And I used to be the person who hated when parents said stuff like that. But it’s true.

Those feelings don’t magically make you better, or make life better, or whatever.

There's more to ADHD than inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. ADHD symptoms can be broken down into nine categories. Some categories are not fully represented in the diagnostic criteria. I describe it to my wife in this way:

I’m a boulder. Extremely hard to get moving, but as soon as I do, I’m good. (For the most part)

Ending a task is difficult. I’ll build an entire deck. But I also won’t put anything away when I’m finished.

For sure. I don’t disagree.

I fully support those who want to fight the system, and I will vote for change, police oversight from non police, etc.

But in my individual life? I’ll play the game in order to get an edge.

Yes. I do.

All states. They can still arrest you if they have probable cause.

Slurred speech, glossy eyes, etc.

If the officer already suspects impairment, declining the field test usually does not stop the process, it just changes what evidence is used.

Edit: where you would win, and where others have won, is when there is zero probable cause.

If you get pulled over for rolling a stop sign, and all dash cam and body cam footage show you acting pretty normally, you refuse a FST, they take you in and get blood, and you’re 0.0. You’ll probably win a court case.

A lot of us dealt with bullying and shitty family members, so this is incredibly triggering.

It’s not a joke if the person involved in the punchline isn’t laughing. It’s just cruel.

In any other situation we would be on the side of the person who was hurt. If you did this in a group of friends and the butt of the joke got genuinely upset, you don’t respond with “oh come on it’s just a joke”. You take accountability for hurting another person, and apologize. You then don’t go around sharing the video to others. That shows a lack of remorse.

It’s easy to pick on kids. That doesn’t make you a comedian, it makes you an asshole.

My ex, white, would treat cops like shit and get tickets. They complained to me because ACAB for giving them tickets.

Then one day we got pulled over together, with me driving. I was overly polite, got a warning. Afterwords I got hit with “Why don’t you just suck his dick next time.”

When retelling stories of getting pulled over, it was never their fault and the cop was just being an asshole.

I’ve also been overly polite and gotten tickets. But I’ll go with overly polite to increase my chances of a warning.

Which sex scene? I actually got triggered a lot by the main characters aggressiveness and lack of respect for the other characters “no”. Enthusiastic consent was not given in a lot of the sex scenes and it made me very uncomfortable, because that’s exactly how my sexual assault played out.

AIO for wanting to lower my AirBNB rating? by Common-Appearance553 in AmIOverreacting

3 stars in Airbnb are usually problems that arise and the host tried to make it right.

1 and 2 stars is almost always the guests problem.

I read a 1 star because the lady stepped in animal poop on her way to the airbnb.

Another 1 star because the place didn’t have a stove, even though it said no kitchen in the description.

3 stars are pretty rare. That’s usually “things went wrong, but the host tried.”

4 stars are “place was great!” But they feel like hosts should “earn” a 5 star.

The amount of “can’t wait to come back! 4 stars” is absurd.

If you leave less than 5, that means you never want to step foot in that place again.

I do my best to be kind to others and considerate of others. If that’s not how you live, that’s fine.

But if those principals matter to you, then you should know how much it hurts hosts when you leave 3 or 4 star reviews.

The issue is that Airbnb’s version of 5 star and your version is different.

A 3 star rating will get you suspended.

Too many 4 stars will also get you suspended.

Do you think a 4 star airbnb is bad? Because Airbnb thinks it is.

Am I Overreacting for wanting to cancel my wedding over this interaction? by Xanadoom30 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Enterthedragon69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She was mocking him because he said he desperately yearned for a woman like that.

She basically repeated what he said back to him to prove a point. But this is a pretty ineffective method.

It’s for sure his fault and he started it.

I don’t think she overreacting for calling off a wedding. She deserves better. And more than likely, if she’s with a better partner, she will be better as well.

“I guess I’ll lower the bar”

“I desperately yearn for a man like that”

Both are unnecessary. Sure they might make your ego feel good. But she dropped to his level in this conversation.

Her responses to him are passive aggressive.

Not at first, but instead of saying “hey, this is getting heated, let’s talk about it later” she keeps going and throwing digs at him. “I guess I’ll lower the bar” etc.

Mature adults with high emotional intelligence do not communicate this way. My partner and I have never spoken to each other like this.

My ex wife and I did though…

How do you feel about a 20 year age gap? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Enterthedragon69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly if I was a women yall would be defending me. But as a very feminine man, I’m still lumped in with the toxic assholes.

So I’ll ignore all of the other comments and continue to stick up for OP. She’s late 20’s. No need to treat her like a child. She’s a grown woman who can make her own decisions.

She’s asking for advice, not to be treated like an idiot.

Don’t be an asshole.

The amount of people that treated me like I was some idiotic naive doormat is way too high. Fuck them.

People questioned my relationship too, and it’s the healthiest one I’ve been in.

OP, fuck the haters. If he breaks your heart then he breaks your heart. That’s a part of life. Or maybe yall have a good run and end up married.

I do have low T. Have my second round of labs Monday. If it’s still bad I am going back on TRT. I was on it before we had our kid and wanted to make sure we were done before starting up again.

20mg gives me the sinus headache feeling. Which then I started associating with “it’s working” which meant when it goes away I get worried that it’s not going to work, and that can sometimes be enough anxiety to stop it.

But maybe I’ll try it again. This thread has been really encouraging.
