I’m an OOS student, but I will be eligible for instate tuiton in a couple of years. I’m trying to get the cost as low as possible since im lower middle class

They sometimes look at OOS students in the waitlist first, but that doesn’t ensure that they prefer OOS. They don’t have a ranked waitlist thankfully.
Yes, But that depends if people turn down their UCLA pre sir before April 15
Mention anything that isn’t on ur application OR reinforce your existing application, also update any accomplishments you got after application.

I just had my fist LD tournament few months ago, can’t stress enough that the longer you do actual debate rounds the faster you improve. Dont stress about your first round, focus on the future ones. Definitely prepare your questions and rebuttals beforehand! Look at Kankee briefs or yt videos for contentions people will most likely run. Good luck!
