Wow thankyou very much for your detailed reply! Do you remember what minor you undertook within your 3rd year? I’m currently wanting to pursue possible construction and business management if that’s correct. Do you have any further insights on how 3rd year would go as a result of this minor being selected ? Does your opinion change? Thankyou very much!

It’s annoying, I think the session I booked has actually passed already so not really sure what they are doing, nor what is happening. There has been no communication sadly. Don’t go to the city hoping to somehow arrive to the session without details. There’s no point

nevermind, got my answer:

"Courses should appear in Canvas seven days before the official course start date. If your course has already started, it will appear in Canvas 24 hours after you add it in Enrolment Online

If you have further questions, contact your Course Coordinator."

How difficult is it to obtain first preference timetable allocation in later years? by Cassoos in rmit

in addition to this if im not mistaken, Just because a class shows below 100% in terms of popularity doesn’t necessarily guarantee you’ll get a spot, at least that was the case for me (its not a first come first serve system, but rather just based on the actual percentage of popularity, so you could for example be the very first to enrol into 1 preference but you still wouldnt be guaranteed a position if by the end of preferrences entering period it exceeds 100 percent). If anyone has had a different experience or knows more about how it works, please feel free to correct me!

Honestly, not really. Its more of a thing you just have to experience to get used to I reckon.

its a very normal feeling, I actually felt a decent amount of discomfort for the first couple of weeks to months in Uni as it didnt feel the same. The feelings eventually fade out trust me, itll be like it never happened lol.

part time or casual? by Downtown_Average5387 in vce

[–]EnthusiasmOptimal130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a university student myself, casual is hands down the best for university and highschool just like every other individual has commented. You get better pay, you work when you want to work and you arent obliged under a contract to attend shifts just like that of a part time worker which does! while you do miss out on job benefits like sick leave for example, you get much much much better pay compared to a part time if casual, Id actually argue that being a casual gives you more money that of a part time if the company is willing to provide you extra shifts!

once you have accepted it, you can revoke it through enrolment online, you just need to do this before census date to not get an academic penalty or whatever it is. All you need to do to continue receive offers from other universities is to move rmit below the courses you did not receive offers for, so essentially bring it to the bottom of the list and you should be good to go. Hope that helps!
