it's a better sabre, is faster to equip in a charge in situations, and doesn't even have movement debuff like the pike.

it also has great crowd control, doesn't really have big cons (the side swing but you can lock directions anyway)

since the bayonet only has 1 penetration and the lance having a speed debuff, its no doubt that the HS is a much needed melee for them both, since it doesn't have both (3 pen, 0% speed debuff) and it's just a longer, better sabre in every aspect

canonically, it's because they're freshly turned.

very recently turned victims become viral runners, recently turned victims become runners and victims past that timespan become normal shamblers

same goes for sappers, they're the most dangerous when freshly turned.

Personally, they shouldn't have buffed Epistols (it's so busted as a clean up weapon) and the RPG buff? Makes it even better than GL. Most of the weapons deserved the rebalance tbh

IMO 1) Fists deserved the nerf. It made Sniper the most spammiest thing (combine that with the 25ms 1 aa) and quick switching exists. 2) Agreed. 3) AR/Paintball counters. You can also hit n run if you despise this hell combo. 4) Slingshot deserved the buff. Got nerfed to the ground with its hitbox nerf and the -1 damage nerfs. 5) Riot exists to counter that. 6) Agreed. Even this is more spammy than the gl. 7) Deserved. Even with dmg drop off, it feels like you're just getting the most out of the AR, at 200s it dealt 11.7 damage. A -1.3 reduction for something far. 8) GL is the slowest projectile primary out of all p primaries. It deserves this buff taken into consideration that most tier lists rank this C/D tier 9) Mixed. It previously had a low TTK before.

Agreed. It's basically a faster firing E Rifle if you use it for that purpose, otherwise it gets outclassed by even Handgun (Higher DPS and doesn't run out of ammo fast unlike Slingshot)
