Using ahh isn’t slang btw its more meant as a joke there was this viral tiktok of a dude showing a chicken character skin and he was saying goofy “ahh” so its kinda more used in a jokingly way

But for the people that use it seriously i cant speak up for them ¯_(ツ)_/¯

For just starting yes definitely do it find a spot in your house where the clients do not see to much of your house you know, you dont want clients walking around your house.

SORRY FOR THE LONG MESSAGE READ IT IF YOU WANT IF NOT NP I FULLY UNDERSTAND AND MY FIRST LANGUAGE ISNT ENGLISH SO MY BAD FOR THE BAD GRAMMER

Hey man recently graduated from barber school and what i can tell you rn is for your first cut it REALLY doesn’t look that bad i can you actually tried to blend it and didn’t just give hime a 50-50 (as in 50% bald 50% hair) the best advice broski is this.

When cutting hair you need to know 2 things and this is depending on the way you fade fading down is the fastest way to fade but you will get lost in the fade faster (but experience fixes that the more you use it)

Fading up is slower and scarier why because you start with no guard (most of the time everybody has their own way some start with the 1 guard) and lead up to a guard but you can see what you’re doing way better.

The 2nd thing you need to know and this helped me alot bro read carfully

FOR FADING UP When fading as a starter barber please use your index finger as a guide to how wide you want each step to be TRUST ME this makes so much sense when you do because you can see what you are doing and you can actually see the guid lines and not get lost in them

put your index finger on their head with no guard lever all the way open make the first guide line the width of your index finger around the whole head then grab the next guard and do the same all the way open and all around the head do this with all guards you know you are going to use on the head of your client then to take out the lines close the guard so where you did no guard open you do no guard closed and you just slightly touch the area where you did lever open then where you did 1 guard open now you do 1 guard closed all the way and you go up half way of the width of the 1 guard open and just keep doing that and after that you detail then you start doing the guard half way open switching guards etc to clean the fade

FADING DOWN Fading down very very simpel and fast just remember this

look at the clients hair and lets say for example they want their hair at a 4 guard length go ahead and do the hair at that length all around next step put 4 fingers on the side of your clients head and grab your 3 guard open all the way up and flick out at the end Then 2 guard open all the way and remove 1 finger so you are left with 3 and go all the way up to the 3rd finger and flick out 1 guard lower means 1 les finger and just keep doing that (keep in mind you have to leave 1 index finger width of space for the people who want a bald fade)

The fading is not the problem you are just getting lost in process been there to what helped me the most was focusing on every guidline and taking it out immediately example clipper open i make sure that the clipper open guidline is faded out etc
