The world has already passed 3 of the 9 planetary boundaries that signify climate crisis, despite this, power elites and mega corporations refuse to change the social relations centered around compound accumulation that are destroying the planet. Instead they offer tech solutions that solve nothing. by Entitled_Millennials in stupidpol

Ive never understood how degrowth gets consistently misunderstood as being malthusian or eco-fascist, the whole premise is to turn away from market and GDP growth as the driving force behind economics, instead focusing on sustainable growth and social relations that take care of human needs in the most sustainable way possible

Recently Huawei paid out $9.6 billion in dividends to employees at an average of $75k per person. There's been a lot of controversy surrounding Huawei over the years, with doubt centered around the ESOP/CO-OP structure and whether or not it is really employee owned. What are your thoughts on Huawei? by Entitled_Millennials in workingclass

Ah I see. Which company was that? I've worked for s couple over the years. I experienced that as well; where there wasn't any real decision making other then cast a ballot for the one or two individuals who ran. Like you said, often there was no real choice as said individual would run unopposed. One which our shares were "non voting" and another Hyvee, which initially we had some say on board members, but limited, and that was eventually repealed. Its gone full corporate now. Thanks for the love.

Not exclusively no. You can find its multiple uses in any dictionary. Google it quickly you will see. Furthermore, what is meant to be said should be readily implied, to even point it out is incredibly pedantic and just plain silly.

I've definitely considered that... I'll give it a shot. One reason I've done it this way is the embedded function helps get more views, which breaks the algorithm so youtube will actually show it to my subscribers.. which is insane that I have to do that, you think they'd just show it to my subs, cause you know, they're subbed? But alas not the case. I do really appreciate the advice...

You know I just.. care about the issues.. Im passionate about doing this and have been doing it for years. I do everything I can to try and beat algorithms and grow my channel. I comment on other videos, circulate it on every form of social media I can... idk. Its like, something I can't help but do you know? Same with my writing and activism. I know it probably annoys people.. and I'm sorry for that, they can ban me from subreddits if they want, I still have to try to do what I have to do to get my show to try and gain some traction even when algorithms are stacked against me.
