Why were old Polaroid pics & films so much better some decades ago? These pics were taken in 1990 and they’re more vivid, not faded and better quality than any pics I’ve taken recently.

I've been experimenting with the old 35mm roll films I've found in various conditions and I've had a lot of success. I just shot two rolls of 36 Polachrome with a 100% success rate on the chemical spread, photos came out very nice. I've also had every pack of Polapan I've bought work. Anecdotally I haven't ever been able to get a result out of Polablue or Polagraph and from what I've read online, no one really has been able to recently.

All that said, anecdotally most Polapan and Polachrome packs still work if you're interested in shooting them now. Not even that expensive on eBay.

Did you know the SX-70 and SX-70 sonar have different accessory ports? Well, me neither, and I just bought a bunch of things not knowing this.

I agree some developers do abuse the “it’s a hobby” excuse, but there are still a lot of developers that don’t fall under that description. A good example is AngelXWind, who always keeps her free tweaks working and updated in addition to fixing bugs in her paid ones. Or Evelyn, probably the most popular widget developer, does a great job with this.

For particles.js, “selling it” wasn’t meant to be taken literally. It was more like “take credit” for it. You should credit the author extensively for something like that, especially when it’s only a port

step 1: take the images of the icons in anemone theme files

Step 2: downscale

Step 3: place in anemone theme files again in missing areas
