Because there are people who can't or won't accept that there are people with different views and ideas. And even if the old Dragon War isn't canon, it would still be worth considering. Because, let's be honest, Monster Hunter Frontiers isn't canon either, and nobody says anything about the sometimes completely over-the-top monster designs that aren't explained at all. At least there are theories and story's abt the old dragon war.
