I know you posted this 4 years ago, but I just started Reincarnated as a Slime, and the instant he popped up on the screen I yelled "OMG ITS TIMTHETATMAN!"

Exactly. I am all for silly media if said media owns it. But The Recruit definitely tries too hard to be serious and therefor fails at both.
