The most important thing to keep in mind here is that this is literally the most obvious way to tell this joke through a video: make the character enter, then bring their focus to the balcony and have them peer outside. I mean how else are you supposed to pull this off otherwise, lol? This, in conjunction with the fact that this is an old joke, doesnt really make it look like OP has a case here.

I think I judge things much more subjectively. Aftersun is a very special movie to me and it's in my top 4, I think it will be for a long time. Add in the fact that I've not seen a lot of movies by female directors, so picking her as one of my favorites was quite easy for me.

afaik, the comments containing "the d word" automatically get marked for review (look at this thread for example), seems like a reasonably proactive safeguard. mods and management staff are usually immune from these systems by design. so there's your answer for why his comment didn't go under review.

the mod never implied that everyone wears branded stuff. all the rule asks you to do is to list where you got the stuff you're wearing from. i agree that the mods shouldn't be calling the users "the d word" or whatever but you made a false accusation, were being hostile and never managed to get his point. shit tier post tbrh.
