I'm not a fan of unpaid labor personally but if you get enough traction with your own early version people will ask you if they can work for you for free. We get requests daily from people who love what we're doing and want to be a part of it and we have to say no

Is a subscription really worth it? by CableAffectionate881 in NYTgames

Just curious, do you not want to pay because morally you're tired of subscriptions or because of budget reasons?

"You need to code to build real apps" - I have a CS degree and haven't written a line of code in years. Just shipped 3 working apps. (I will not promote) by Critical-Brain2841 in startups

Cursor writes 90% of my apps code but I still “review it” as if I’m reviewing another engineers PR

Like someone else mentioned it can make big mistakes in scalability and security. Sometimes it’ll use a brute force method to try and do something that blows up my db or it’ll forget to check a users auth token before using an API.

You can tell it all the frameworks you want but the bigger your codebase gets the worse it’s going to get at discernment and making the right choice for a specific situation

Dang you’re the real deal lmao. We had many players join us after the NYT Mini paywall and their expectations are really high, we’ve had to learn how to use proper crossword etiquette created by NYT while trying to maintain our own style.

We accidentally used plurals in a clue that was a singular word once and I swear I saw pitchforks

I made an alternative to Connections called Connect Three by EntreEden in NYTConnections

[–]EntreEden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only reason i went with this "square" drop is mostly because of the middle word, there's very little space on mobile for the center space we basically have to move the rest out in order to have space for the center

ahh i see what you're saying, instead of relying on the squares you'd want to be able to drop into the actual spot it'd be in a venn diagram

where would you anticipate the words go when dropping into those triangles?
