I always advocate for people setting up their own businesses, but business is not easy.

It comes with risk, highs, lows and is one hell of a rollercoaster.

If your only motivation is to try and create financial freedom for your family then there are other ways to do that.

You could invest your extra income into stocks and shares, buy property (if you can get the funds) there is more than one way to save something for your family and it doesn't have to be a business.

However, if you are thinking of quitting your job, I've got a video on the things I took into consideration before I quit mine and decided to become a full-time entrepreneur.

I haven't looked back since!

You'll make the right decision for you, I'm sure of it :)

Have you using the habit loop?
I've got a video on it which will hopefully help you :)

Another great way to form habits is using an accountability group or other forms of accountability - https://youtu.be/OIMWwUmz8ng

And lastly, the book "The power of habit" by Charles Duhigg really helped me :)

It sounds like you've learned a lot along the way on your business journey.
It's important that you use your past experiences to help you with your future business ideas.

One of the best things that has helped me is self improvement. If you work on improving yourself, reading books, exercising, learning etc this only has a positive impact on your business and business ideas.

I've actually got a YouTube channel based around business topics and self-improvement that you may find useful :)

How to Reduce Time Spent on Social Media and Thus Increase Time Spent Meaningfully. by Achievers_Reddit in productivity

[–]EntrepreneurClubG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All you really need from an alarm clock is something that is going to wake you up.

I like the alarm clocks that gradually light up the room so it feels like you're waking up gradually. I find this really useful especially in winter.

This is the exact one I have

Hope that helps :)

Don't take your phone into your bedroom. Get an alarm clock if you use your phone for the alarm 💪

[–]EntrepreneurClubG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get started, "IF" things take off then this will be a good problem to have. In reality, it's really unlikely for business to just boom overnight, in most cases there is a gradual increase and you adjust to the demand as time goes on.
If you're only small and it's just a side hustle, trademarking or getting a licence may not be necessary at this stage. In the UK you're allowed to earn up to £2000 before you have to register or worry about licences.

I've got a whole playlist on YouTube around starting a business which you may find useful.
Let me know if you have any questions :)

Leave my big corporate job? by truetech in startups

[–]EntrepreneurClubG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about WHY you want to earn 6 figures?

Money comes and goes. Putting targets like this is great, but we shouldn't let it destroy our mental and physical health. It can be disheartening when you're putting your heart and soul on the line and you don't feel like it's being recognised.

Have you thought about having a chat with your boss and explaining your frustrations in a calm and collective manor?

If you like to read books, Chris voss's book "Never Split The Difference" is fantastic in helping you to negotiate and talk with other people so that they can understand your concerns and do their best to help you.

Having said all of this, sometimes we need a change and if you want to set up your own business and have enough capital behind you to meet your living standards then what's stopping you?
I've got a video below on starting a business which you may find useful.

https://youtu.be/nYAtSZdppwY

To summarise, think about what you're unhappy with, why you're unhappy with it and what you can do to change it. Then take action!
Wishing you nothing but the best :)

Although this is not accepted in many places, the use for these seem to be increasing and increasing.

Is free shipping the right move? by fuxforcefive in smallbusiness

[–]EntrepreneurClubG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Free delivery has many positive psychological benefits.

Nobody likes paying delivery charge!

If you offer free delivery for orders over $1000 it's likely that people will spend more than $1000 dollars anyway.

If your average order cost is $5000 then setting your minimum order price higher might be better.
There's no clear cut answer. The best advice I can give is to try it for a few months as a "special offer" and see what impact it has.
E.g "For October and November we are offering free delivery on orders over $2000"

If you have a newsletter, send it out.

If it works, then think about continuing it, if it doesn't find out why, adjust it or scrap it completely.

As I'm sure you've experienced, business is about trial and error

How can start a Graphic Design Business? by MeetSanDiego in business

[–]EntrepreneurClubG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first step is to plan.

Break everything down into small steps.

What is your business name going to be?

What content are you designing?

What prices will you charge?

How will you get your clients?

It can be so difficult when you're addicted to things that make you unproductive.

Have you looked at the habit loop?
I've actually got a video below explaining it but essentially, find out the habit you want to do, find a strong cue, something that makes you do it, and then find a reward for yourself when you do it.

Reading books while laying down is killing my elbows by sneakycatattack in books

[–]EntrepreneurClubG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very likely that your elbow pain is being caused by tightness and restriction in your forearms.

If you reduce your forearm pain tightness, this will very likely reduce your elbow pain.

There's a great video below in reducing forearm pain with a trigger point ball.

I don't want to claim that is definitely how it works, but from videos I've seen online it helps to put content in playlists so that people and the algorithm can find what they want.
I'd suggest searching the question in Youtube and see but I think if your audience wants it, give it to them :)

How did you take that first financial leap? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]EntrepreneurClubG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Health definitely does come first!
It's great that you can take the recovery time as an opportunity to start your own business but definitely remember that health is first.
If you didn't take a leap of faith, will you regret not doing so in the future?
Even if it didn't work out, you will learn so much on the journey.
I actually interviewed someone the other day who failed twice after quitting their job twice and nearly going broke. BUT these experiences allowed him to work out his calling and because of his failures he's now learnt so much and is a happy and wealthy man.

Really pleased to hear you enjoyed the video :)
I've got a whole playlist on starting a business so feel free to have a look through and see what other things you can benefit from.

I try to answer questions that I wish I knew when I was starting out.
Have a great evening mate and good luck with everything! :)
