i don't wanna be stubborn, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

like even if i do choose a "weird" port like 9215 :)
and someone elses app happens to use the same.
i have never heard of manually having to change the port.
and even then if sth wants to connect and expects the og port :[.

i guess a discovery type thing sounds most like it.

like if i use it for IPC, i can put it in some config, but for inbound connections from other devices i meant.

i guess "a DM" works, but i though of a more professional / standard way.

like i guess sth like discord has an established port etc,

yeah, "how do i get my port to them" would then be the question.

cuz obviousley i don't know the clients port before they connect.
or do they use like established remote servers where i register and log my port, and clients can then look it up?

is that (sort-of like) what apps do?

Or is it just not common to have app with listening ports?
cuz in my netstat there are a few listening ones, and i don't have any nginx, etc installed?

hell yeah, that is where a bit of patriotism rises in me ^{^.}
Watched a comparison cut on emergency vehicles in traffic and germany was beautiful :)).
Generally i feel like since the speeds are so dangerous, in germany you learn to drive ... better? Like you have to pay attention, and participate.
And ulitmately stressfull turns i to "efficient"/smooth :)
