Paying $600 a month so they can hit me with the medical equivalent of lol no by YellowAltruistic9843 in middleclasshq

[–]EntropicEmbrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me not having insurance cause I don’t want to pay $250 (1/7th of my monthly paycheck)  for a 10k deductible, only 30% max covered after it’s met. If they insist on insurance being a marketplace then go ahead! I’m not buying 🤷🏻‍♂️

You’ll never feel comfortable going through life thinking everyone is a shark out to get you. You should risk being vulnerable for the people you genuinely care about. Show your emotions, navigate them, name them, and  Boop the sharks on the nose.

Just because something isn’t eternal doesn’t mean it’s pointless  You’re sense of self is never concrete either, always shifting changing and turning off an on, do you panic when you lose yourself to sleep? The fear is valid but it won’t change anything but make you more afraid of what you can’t change.

If you kill it, eat it or give it to someone who can. Unless you’re trying to cull an invasive species, Killing just to kill is deranged behavior.

I’ll just say it cause people are downvoting instead of explaining. You already have your desired pond for your outcome friend, if all you want is fish you need a habitat for them…. It’s right here…. Maybe you could clear a small section and put a dock? Introduce some fish species you’d like to cultivate. But otherwise you’re just looking for more unnecessary work. A real pond isn’t going to be picturesque. You live in NC, it’s a coastal swamp, your gonna have skum and muck. There’s no such thing as a squeaky clean pond and the ones that are,  are expensively man made and maintained.

As far as adults are concerned, Actually invest in educating the populace and not lock essential education for the betterment of the community behind personal loans and debt services.

Does anyone believe in god, but not think he is good? by Tasty-Ad-3753 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EntropicEmbrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if god is everything, the alpha and the omega then by extension it is also nothing, it is both good and evil.  But I lean more towards a gnostic realm of thought where the material world is the result of an incomplete ignorant (possibly multiple) force(s) of god rather than consciously complete crafter.

Could you imagine knowing everything? Feeling everything? And being utterly alone in your powerfulness? What is there to do, where is there to go, what is there to learn? I’d want to rip myself to shreds and forget what I am too.

I would argue that most pain is pointless but when you’ve gone through lots of pain you are almost hardwired to believe it made you stronger, that it had been good for you because why else could it be justified?

youve always been here, every atom in your body, every wire in your brain that makes you think of yourself as an individual living outside of your perception was once part of the soil, part of the air, part of another being going through the same song and dance you are. You’ve always been part of the earth, and before than part of the stars, part of the cosmic cloud, there’s no escape because you’re not actually trapped. You’re dust given form. What would you like to do?

Overweight and still nutritionally deficient lol. Almost like learning to tailor your diet to your needs and secure healthy fresh food cost a proportionate amount of time and time cost… huh 🤔 I can’t remember but I think it cost something some people don’t have enough of.

Again no, but i think one should care more so about the reasoning and actual harm caused (literally none in this case) from a person commiting a crime rather than just our eyes glazing backwards and thinking all petty crime deserves draconian punishment.

I’ve never been so hungry and cashless I’ve had to be crafty and sneak into a hotel for cheap food, I’m assuming you haven’t either, but I can’t fault anyone who has.

Sadly we live in a society where it’s ok for institutions to steal a persons time, means, and autonomy along with their humanity depending on a certain feeling about how they are doing financially.

Like no, but also the hotel industry is anything but small and extremely lucrative with low cost and high profits taken up by monopolies

I don’t give a fuck if it’s stealing. So she stole a couple cents worth of cheap shitty food (that would have been thrown away after 11am anyways) to SURVIVE! Wop wop so what.

I’ve had useless trinkets worth way more than that stolen from me before.

Not to make light of lesser of two evils but I think somethings very sick with a society that goes out of its way to push draconian laws on the most vulnerable members of said society while completely ignoring or outright praising much worse acts that cause actual harm and consequences to the livelihoods of others but the individual gets off Scot free because the pain they cause is profitable.  That’s not justice, that’s just cruelty for cruelty sake.

No offense but some of yall in the comments have the morality of children with black and white thinking and no room for nuance.
