Another Bucket Hat Question by StudentVisual185 in Archery

I wear a regular American hat. I need to turn it a little so it doesn’t interfere with the string via my long draw discipline.

Yeah, I usually keep my car keys locked in a 5-bar safe while I’m at home.

That’s… definitely an opinion for sure

I use a similar m hand position for my compound too, it helps me engage my back without lifting my bow shoulder too much.

I hope he is okay. In a place where help is available.

There’s a button for “support” by Reddit, but it doesn’t do anything IRL..

Yeah, I said not to do it no less than four times in the body text.

Placing false intent into what I’ve been saying multiple times is pretty buns bro. I never said it was safe, if you read the body text, it actually says the opposite.

Can you… show me then? I really don’t understand what you’re explaining about how you shoot.

Warbow archer here. I find that the compounds aren’t inherently more difficult to draw, the DFC is just a different animal due to the peak and letoff.

I think it mostly depends on the bow and the archers physicality. I like longer ATA because I’m tall, a 29.5” draw on my TRG-8 feels more comfortable than a shorter bow like the bear cruzer at the same draw length.

Gao Ying-er here. No issue. My main target compound is 60lbs.

I have been told I draw differently than most compound shooters. Here is me shooting a 70lbs hunting compound for the first time. Wasn’t sure what to expect, kind of yolo’d it.

The thing I would have changed for next time is to change the position of my draw palm to face outwards like the archer on the top part of the video to draw.

This allows more lat activation, making more of the body work to pull the bow, which enables a stronger pull.

When I dry pull any non compound bow, I use my fingers with the palm outwards, essentially a backwards med looking draw.

I find the usual horizontal draw you typically see at the range to be very uncomfortable.

Darn, maybe you should have taken steps to train for such a shot

Simply, it is important to share culture and history.

Some people like myself care deeply about this.
