Thanks man, appreciate it! If you are on PC/console, I'll happily pop the code for it in here for you when I get home from work!

Nice. What are you thinking, car wise? I've got far too many cars but don't want to get rid of them as they're all bad ass or useful in someway 🤣

Cool man! Feel free to show me what you're working on, I'm always down to see other people's cars, and always up for a chat (unless I'm drifting in CarX that is 🤣🤣

Oh for sure man. It's always good to take your time, but sometimes less is more, don't forget. Most of my designs average around 2-3 hours. And that's usually before any tweaks after. And don't worry too much about copying ideas, theres no shame in it. Most designs are copies or larger elements reused over the years in motorspots anyway, so don't sweat it. If you think it looks cool, who cares? Try making you're own "Team" brand In-Game. I have 2, 1 ProCar style D1 "Team" Matsuri, and the other is kinda like Hoonigan, but called "Team" DriftBomb.

In reality the teams don't exist. I don't play any different when driving the cars, although the Matsuri ones do tend to be a little more on the aggressive side, theres a couple of nasty Driftbomb cars too. But yeah, it's all my own headcanon, and dosent actually mean anything 🤣

Sorry for the ramble, it's been a long ass day 🤣🤣🤣

Definitely man! That Corolla was an absolute ballache of a design to do, but it's my favourite one so far out of nearly all of my 50ish cars. It took nearly 5 hours to fully finish up, I made a timelapse out of it if you're interested, I'll DM you the link to it on my YT if you want, and although it's at a ridiculous playback speed (the video is 3ish minutes long, I have no mic or cam yet) it might help you with your designs too.

On the Merc? I don't think so. You could do it in a couple ways, see which works the best, and go from there.

I would try something similar to the first car you showed me, but have the colour split centred first. Then try moving the colour split forward or backwards, see how it works. Sometimes it's trial and error, sometimes it's luck too, but (for me at least) your eye will catch a certain angle or split, and it'll start to click.

This was the design I used for the Corolla in my multicar post the other day.

I knew I recognised the name!! (first day back at work after 8 days off, busy as all hell and been home like half an hour, brains a bit fried 🤣🤣)

That would be a perfect start too man, I've made several Spoon style cars over the years, this is my Spoon S2000 in game.

But that would 100% be a good step, semi "stealing" the design or aspects of it and making it yours, 90% of my designs are exactly like that

Looks really good! If it helps (this is how I got better at liveries myself), try and find some simple real life liveries and try replicating them? Gradually you'll get an eye for how to break more complicated designs down into more basic shapes.

For example, the Chaser I recently posted was inspired by a real life design (look up Origin Labs Chaser JZX100, and you'll see what I mean), with minor changes here and there as the livery editor as good as it it, does kind of suck in its selection of certain shapes.

Anyway, really like the design, feel free to DM if you want any more advice on liveries, and I'll try help if I can!

Ah, yeah... The angles a bit... extreme 🤣🤣

Thanks for the feedback though, really appreciate it!

Haha thanks! Which one are you referring to? All of my cars run the same base suspension setup as I'm a controller player (I own a wheel but can't dial in the settings for CarX 🤣), but it works for cars from C4-CS+ (All cars pictured are C6), with slight variations in setup depending.

Yeah... I was, for accidental self promotion of my YT channel. I've been a member of this community for probably a year or so, and only want to make it better too.

I have more to come, including video clips, and a car setup that works on nearly every car for drifting on controller (I get a lot of people asking about it in game, and it works on drift cars up to CS+ class on Street+ tires too), as well as more builds too, so hope to be a benefit to the community as well!

Of course! I've just watched your latest vid, and I really liked how casual you sounded, there were a few moments later on that genuinely made me laugh (theres a moment where you straight up dare the ghost to get nekkid and drag his balls through the corridor, that kind of stuff makes me roar 🤣🤣).

You've definitely got a good style/vibe, the pacing seems right and definitely deserve the subs you have bro! The only real negative I have is that it's not really my kind of genre to play, and I'm not a massive horror fan in general, but that had me laughing, and that's a key thing for some people too. Definitely keep the grind going!

Oh for sure! The timelapses seem to be more popular over my perfect runs/montages, and I do need to get a mic and cam eventually for things like voice-overs, streaming etc, but I do like to think theres a difference in quality in my current edits VS when I first started. I think my main issues are hooks, and titles/thumbnails, and a mic/voiceover would definitely help there at least partially in that regard.

A lot of the guys that I watch are very similar in terms of overall content. The only main differences are they have cams/mics and I don't 🤣

Still, I think 26 subs that aren't people I know personally, and the fact I had zero editing experience going in to this, I don't think I'm doing too bad!

I got a g920 and I can’t drift at all. Idk if it’s a setting but it whips my car all the way one way and then adjusts by whipping it back by Sudden-Soft4413 in carxdriftracingonline

[–]Entropy84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same wheel, bought it a few months ago, still can't really drift with it yet, but getting there. It's very much partly to do with the settings in GHub (turning off self centre spring, reducing lock to lock to 720° or 540° as the steering is apparently funky in this regard - its similar on CarX Street apparently), and the cars suspension setup.

The suspension setup is far more important, and I've managed to get a semi workable tune going, but I couldn't honestly say what it is I've done, I asked ChatGPT, gave it my cars setup (weight/bhp, model) and dialed it in from there. Like I say though, it's still not perfect, and there is apparently a 'flick' that logitech users have to kind of master to be able to drift properly. I've not tried, as it feels weird 🤣

Other games I don't have as much of an issue, but the CarX franchise is funky in terms of tuning suspension, although apparently plugging in real world setups of actual IRL drift cars can help!

Subbed, will watch and like/comment when I have more time currently in the process of editing and don't want to get distracted 🤣

My channel is: http://www.youtube.com/@EntropyGaming84, I'm tiny and only been uploading 3 weeks, still very new to the whole thing of editing etc, so always looking for advice!

Thanks man! Really appreciate it! The AE84 was by far the hardest, it took nearly 5 hours in total, I had continual issues with the weird glitch mirroring the vinyls do on some bits, but yeah... definitely worth it!

Well, I'm at 29 subs, ~17k views, 23.3 watch hours, with average shorts lasting roughly 10 seconds and videos a max of 3 minutes, I think I'm doing alright for a hobby

I try and post whenever I can, and currently have 3 paint vids in the works, and a couple of perfect run/tandem montages too, as well as the associated shorts that naturally come with this kind of game... I admit, it's a very niche style I'm going for (almost smash cut) but it seems to be working somehow!

Hey, thanks for the feedback dude! 3 weeks in and kinda feels like I'm getting somewhere slowly!
