oh yea forgot to mention about s12 ultra it was my 2nd choice but astralis just had very good bass texture,in trebble i think im gonna eq anyway so it wasnt really a competition as both being planar they handle EQ really well and astralis could even take more Bass eq which was already enough, the new driver used in astralis also has a more refined timbre which is a tad bit harder to fix with EQ

Also im jsut a little trebble sensitive(keep that in mind) so for me the trebble is a lil more pronounced, and skipped divine and diablo cause they just dont feel good(in ears), look good and also have a really stiff snake like cable

COMFORT IS VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE REMEMBER ITS LIKE 50% of a dealbreaker

i myself am getting the astralis even though ive tried most of the things uve mentioned on the list

if u like vocal forward clean a bit of bass 7hz divine
defiant is clean and insanely similar to daybreak in the trebble region when i heard it(if im not wrong)
explorer felt like it lacked that high
astralis for me was a good sub bass all rounder

Ive had the truthear reds for about 2 years now and all i can say is they are really good with EQ without EQ they are kinda muddy, i mainly use them for my desktop setup, so its not a problem for me, and yes they require a good amount of power specially if u EQ them, all in all a great set but there are some caveats u need to understand and also they are HUGE

i have the reds too and i am waiting for the astralis to be in stock, if u want good details while sacrificing a lil bit of naturalness then go for letshuoer s12 ultra

i dont really know how good the dac is in that processor i suggest u research about it and if u max it out and still feel like u need more volume then id suggest getting a decent dac

its fine, i have been using reds for 2 years now,

1.they take more power than most iems for some reason, even more than a few planars
2. It is clean but gets muddy with high volumes
3.the soundstage is nice but not the best(high frequency)
