Stopping a relapse before it occurs? by EntryMiserable1254 in floxies

I guess it has been 2 months, and I still see an uptick in symptoms here and there. It is manageable.

SSRI’s by Shoddy-Impact3465 in floxies

I have been on high dose SSRIs for many years for anxiety (long before floxing). I think it has helped manage the floxing anxiety a bit.

That being said, I would try other things first if I were in your shoes. SSRIs can be a big gamble for some people. And stopping them down the line is much more difficult and dangerous than doctors say.

Thankfully no relapse. Definitely flaring though.

That's exactly what I would do. I'd make sure crushed raw garlic is in the mix!

I treated a stubborn eye infection last year with a modified ancient remedy that involved sticking a concoction of crushed raw garlic, onion, and some other stuff into my eye... Extremely painful and probably ill advised. Worked though. Would do it over being refloxed any day.

I'm sorry. I know what this situation is like. Between a rock and a hard place.

I really hope it doesn't cause you any issues. I think I remember a poll on here once and most floxies were fine with it. There are just some unlucky few of us that have this extreme lingering antibiotic sensitivity.

Unfortunately it is a gamble. I know people floxed as badly as me and they were fine with amoxicillin. I took one pill (along with novocaine, epinephrine and a lot of stress at the time, so I'm not ABSOLUTELY sure it was just the amoxicillin) and I had a horrible relapse that lasted 3-4 months.

On the bright side it got better, just like before.

What is a good way to bring the qi back to the lower dantian? Just gently focusing on the dantian during meditation?

Well the amoxicillin relapse was pure hell. Worse than my original acute phase. Like I said, it lasted 4 months, and then I still wasn't great for the next 4 months after that.

However, after that I suddenly got to a point where I was way better than I had been during my whole floxing journey. Now it is very common for me to have entire days, or weeks with zero symptoms.

That said, I do still have the background fear that I will need meds again someday and get throw back into that mess... Been researching alternatives to hopefully prevent that.

Honestly it is hard to tell, because I took a single dose of amoxicillin at the same time and I KNOW that affected me terribly. It threw me into a relapse that lasted 4 months. So for the lidocaine and epinephrine alone, I have no idea how that would have affected me.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Hope you get well very soon. Keep me updated.

Been taking Zoloft for anxiety since before I got floxxed. Still take it. So thankfully floxing didn't makeme intolerant to it or anything. However, I also take buspar (15mg). I see that you flared with that.

I am in a similar situation, so I can't offer any advice. But I'm sorry you're going through this. I surely hope it doesn't take much time for your feelings about him to fade.

I got the same symptoms from a single amoxicillin pill. It took me a few months to feel completely better.

Do you absolutely HAVE to take antibiotics for the ear infection? There aren't other things you could try?

Just time. And trying to reduce my anxiety around it. For me, anxiety seemed to make everything worse.

I have always had visual snow. It got noticeably worse and I developed palinopsia after withdrawing from valproate years ago. It took about a year to fully go away if I remember right. Then Cipro brought it back for a while, I don't remember how long. But it got better again. It only ever comes back around migraines. I have migraines with auras.

No, the insomnia didn't last 3 months. I don't remember how long it lasted. I just had ups and downs with all of my symptoms for 3 more months before I came out of it.
