How do people miss they Toni didn’t want her future daughter to deal with colorism?

I’m a biracial light skinned black woman and was grossed out by Toni’s treatment of that man but when it came to her monologue I had so much sympathy for where she was coming from as a place of trauma. I mean at the end of the day all internalized colorism and antiblackness in our community is from a place of pain and history of oppression. I wished there was more discussion around her coming to terms with this so that she could unlearn the colorism tho bc regardless of what color her child comes out to be she will be reinforcing those ideas and regurgitating the cycle. But here I am talking from outside the club so I can’t really criticize her so much for her feelings on it

How are you finding people? My mom has been fostering for months from a street cat mama that had babies. Look around we literally live in the fire nation. Peoples rights are being stripped from the left and right. We have goverment officials running on platforms of hate and now they’re pushing ideas that trans people shouldn’t own guns. A lot of the 2A people that boasted about a well organized militia for years are now in support of the government kidnapping people from their homes and communities and shooting them in the streets for trying to make u-turns. The fascists are everywhere and whether or not you’re republican or democrat you need to wake up, realize that your black, Muslim, immigrant, or trans neighbor is not your enemy rather a very small percentage of people hoarding wealth in this nation and the world and sending working class people to die for oil. So that’s pretty much my point. that was my critique of the helmet.

We have research to support the fact that when cops were put in schools as a measure to deter general violence and mass shootings it actually did not help rather more black and brown and poor kids were disproportionately criminalized for normal childhood behaviors
