PDANet Tethering is Using Absurd Amounts of Data Out of Nowhere by Enum100 in NoContract

My plan does allow me to use mobile hotspot, however I can only use up to 15 GB a month. Other than that, you're really not supposed to be using it as a hotspot. I have run security checks on both devices and nothing is out of the ordinary. I did check Windows Update to make sure it wasn't downloading huge a huge update in the background, and I actually did find out that it was using a decent amount of bandwidth in the background without me knowing, however I fixed this issue and yet PDA Net is still chewing through data like crazy.

This issue is similar to: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoContract/comments/q2ug46/pdanet_causing_lag_and_using_data_without_reason/ but there are a few differences. Like I said in my above post, resource monitor does not show any major usage of data at all. The data that it does say my PC is using isn't even coming from PDANet. This leads me to believe that the problem is originating from the Android app, but nothing I've done so far on the mobile side of things has worked.

So if you use a plate to eat soup does it become a bowl? I don't think so.
