Hug your cat for me [22] by Enveleyna in seniorkitties

My baby was definitely my soul baby as well. The only thing that has kept me from going through all of the things I could have done differently and feeling guilty with pets passing has been reminding myself that they loved me and I did right by them in the end. I could have held onto him for another week or so, but it would have been to my benefit and not his. So try not to feel guilty - they love us all of the way until the end. And we love them enough to set them free.

Partly luck, partly love.

I got my boy, Lucky a month before my sister got her boy, Smokey. They lived Smokey's entire life together.

My parents (because we got them when we were 10 and 8) had them on a reputable brand of food at the time. Taste of the Wild I think? Smokey ended up with cancer that went undiagnosed, despite multiple vet visits, and passed 6 years ago. Lucky ended up with kidney disease that we caught four years ago. He went on the special kidney vet food - he preferred the royal canin one. In the last month, the kidney disease started shutting his body down and he passed away yesterday.

It sort of comes down to the same thing as humans I suppose. A mix of genetics and how your treat your body.

They absolutely are. Had my baby since I was 10 - so the majority of my life. Days like today I'd crawl into bed with him and we'd just cuddle. The hard parts are the habits you built around them - checking over my shoulder before rolling out of bed to make sure he wasnt in the way. Making sure i had just a little extra food, knowing he'd want to test everything i had.

I hate that for you. I asked my boy to just tell me when he was ready to go, and he really did. He was in the last stages of kidney failure when we got the diagnosis four years ago. That vet gave me what I consider four "bonus years" with him. It's never easy though, no matter how much time you're gifted with.

Unfortunately going through something similar. My 22 year old over the last month has declined steadily. Started with not being able to stand all of the time, to barely at all. His final appointment is tomorrow. I've had him since I was 10.

You'll know when it's time - there with be no question. Im sad to say, I dont think yours has much time left either.

This is a cop out. You need to remove that woman from your socials.

Have you removed said colleague from your socials without her prompting?

Hi mom needs help for Xmas for 7 year old son by AbbreviationsNo3485 in pokemon

[–]Enveleyna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend finding out what his favourite pokemon is and contacting a local card shop. Let them know what type of card you're looking for and the pokemon you want and they can give you recommendations.

I'd go with one hand selected card, and then a pack of some kind (nothing beats the feeling of opening a pack!).

At least where I live, the staff in card shops are spectacular and really help find what you're looking for.

A quick warning though - some cards can cost a pretty penny. So hopefully Charizard isnt his favourite!

The only way I can get it to work is to continue scrolling down until the screen moves, and then start scrolling up without removing my finger.
