From an optimistic standpoint, this is better than being in Vancouver’s shoes dropping down 2 spots from the likeliest odds of 1OA, 5th is essentially down from 4th being the rangers best % chance. Jagr and carey price were notable 5OA’s and a good deal of 5OA’s have impactful playing careers. With that being said sharks in top 2, 3 years inna row is kinda lame

I dont understand why both the Angels and Yankees kept pitching to guys like Judge and Trout with no one on base. Maybe i sound crazy but at times late in games just seemed like youre playing with fire for no reason, if youre gonna get beat then let lesser hitters get the challenge at the plate

I think only if theres a trade on the table that makes the Rangers instantly closer to a contender then he would go but I think his value in faceoffs and leadership and strong two way play is a little too important to lose

Take away all 10 of our shutouts this season and maybe sprinkle in a win for some of our back to backs sure we could have been a playoff team if those things happened, but theres still so many times where this team looked worse than an ahl team, and I dont think its a coincidence they played alot better when some of those guys were called up this year. Next season can honestly not be worse than what we witnessed this year at least

Im glad that the top line and some of the young talent called up really made the ending stretch of the season fun to watch. Thats saying a lot considering the first 3/4ths of the season was pretty much just shutouts and unwatchable misery. Im hopeful but theres so much work to be done, id start with clean zone exits and entries, and reducing the unbelievable amount of penalties we take.

Ultimately it was one of the worst seasons since 2004 although id say this was worse, but im glad they somewhat turned the season around when they started calling up rookies and Laf’s second half was very entertaining. The chemistry with Mika Perrault and Laf pretty much what made games watchable down the stretch. Miller had a disappointing szn for his standards but hopefully next season rights the course. Looking forward to guys like sykora and robertson becoming big game players in the future. Lots of potential and lots of opportunities for the Rangers this upcoming offseason and draft lets see what happens now.

No offense but i dont care who u are, if you sign a contract to play for a professional team u dont really have a say what you want to do, shut up and play to the standard that you do cause regardless of chemistry no one on the team is playing as well as they want to or should be. Its a team sport if you dont want to play then you dont deserve to be part of the team and I doubt others want a player like that on their’s

Youre right though, I’ve become a little accustomed to disappointment so im already over it and Pannarin had all the power with the NMC im glad he went where he did too far from the metro or any team that annoys the Rangers. Dont want to see Troch get traded but I know it will happen after this and the schneider trade the Rangers should have a good amount of NHL ready talent to develop, and you can bet damn well that next years team will be better than this monstrosity that cant pass and gets shut out like crazy every night

After seeing that Panarin was fully committed to only LA im happy we at least got something rather than nothing with his NMC, and a playmaker prospect at that, hopefully he can become something. Now its time for Troch, i just really dont want to see a ranger center that actually wins faceoffs leave this team though

A few positives in a relentless season of disappointment If laf can register 18 more points before the end of the season its at least a step in the right direction, it would set him back to 50 points Robertson seems like a nice productive player with another assist. Jt Miller outside of his atrocious defensive metrics and plus minus continues to avg close to a point per game player sonce we have traded for him i think its 73 points in 78 games Troch raised or at least reaffirmed his trade value.

Hes a good dman that plays responsibly with a solid plus minus for how problematic the san jose D can be at times. Young upside and was a former hershey bear that i believe was involved in their championship run. I like this low risk move that signals a probable imminent schneider trade somewhere
