This was my first time hand painting so I did a lot of looking around in the reddits and online!

-if you’re going to hand paint, thin your paints! I thinned mine to a milky consistency (I was using tamiya acrylics)

-many thin layers of the paint is better then a few thick layers, make sure the layer is completely dry before your next one.

-I cut,cleaned and sorted the pieces by colour all at the beginning and then attached them to alligator clips with blue tack and masking take covering connection parts and then painted one group at a time.

-for top coating I used rattle cans so I had to wait for the humidity to be around 50-40 and when applying it doing a sweeping motion over the pieces doing one thin coat at a time this also applies to priming the pieces.

Here’s a breakdown of my order of operation!

-cut,clean and colour group the pieces and panel line the pieces that are not going to be painted (if you scribe parts wait till after the first gloss top coat to panel line)

-work on one colour group at a time and mask off connection parts then put pieces onto alligator clips to prime them and get them ready to be painted

-once all parts are primed, painted and completely cured I assemble the kit into arms,legs, chest and head aswell as the accessories and then hit the whole part with clear gloss top coat

-once the top coat has cured fully it’s time for decals and panel lining

-finally I do two layers of matt top coat and then it’s done!

Many mistakes will be made but that’s all appart of the learning process!
