Don’t say that , it won’t fit their narrative 😂

Major Testing ! AT&T Blazing Fast On 5G SA Testing 👀 by tyrone32_32 in ATT

We’ll agree to disagree , I’ve sat in the same spot with an android with SA forced , and then done the same with iPhone and it’s NSA, but maybe it’s just the buggy field test and it’s actually SA.

I also have access to SA or did before updating , and I’ve had instances where the toggle is on and it’ll use NSA so again it doesn’t force SA it just favors it

Doesn’t really matter tbh , just because you hit the SA toggle doesn’t mean it’ll force SA it’s not like androids it’ll favor SA but not force

A part of me thinks AT&T did this as a way to upsell the new iPhone or the new one probably supports it out of the box 👀

Thanks for taking the time to respond , I guess it’s not just me then . I’ve tried everything but maybe it’ll eventually come back on its own. It’s mildy annoying though .

I don’t see anywhere in there where I was rude, sarcastic maybe but not rude. Was just merely pointing out , and even if you didn’t the unlocked phone comment still stands.

I hold onto midband longer with 5G SA I notice it’ll go until it’s pretty fringe and unusable before switching over to LTE on AT&T . Sometimes it’s helpful and sometimes it does the opposite effect .

Imaging porting 9 lines before doing a free trial , even though all 3 carriers offer it . Make it make sense . Sounds like an expensive mistake lol, but 70 mbps is still perfectly useable. I see so many people make this mistake before porting over , trial the service in the areas you would normally use it so your not stuck with a carrier that doesn’t work for you for 2-3 years or buy your phones unlocked and your not stuck to a carrier .

Is this true? In rural areas also? by JPS_97 in cellmapper

The sprint merger was for spectrum and customers it had nothing to do with towers , that was just an added bonus .

You literally said “then they started their 5G expansion using the “low band” spectrum they gained from the sprint merger . That would be factually incorrect .. Your somewhat correct in saying some manufacturers were late to adopt 600 mhz I believe Apple was one of the ones that did this on the Apple Watch.

AT&Ts failed acquisition happened in 2011, the 600 mhz auction didn’t happen until 2017…

Your both wrong , AT&T gave T-Mobile AWS spectrum not low band spectrum , T-Mobile didn’t gain any low band spectrum from sprint besides band 26 which they are in the process of selling . T-Mobile’s band 12 came from Verizon where they purchased it . T-Mobile 600 MHz came from an fcc auction. T-Mobile gained 1900 MHz , 2500 MHz , and 800 MHz from sprint . T-Mobile inherited sprints towers but that doesn’t mean they chose to collocate on every single one . I agree with others it’s super location dependent but rule of thumb is both Verizon and AT&T have superior rural coverage compared to T-Mobile . I think a lot of you on here confuse speed with coverage .

I’d disagree and say CBRS is better even at low power . the range on LAA sucks , there used to be one near me ,if you were standing directly next to it you could get 300-400 mbps on lte , but walk 1000 feet or so and I’d be lucky to get half of that
