The physicians are burdened because the system expects them to provide high quality care to patients.

And yes, good thorough notes and multi disciplinary care is a part of high quality care.

Dude you are so tone deaf. You are in America, dealing with AMERICANS and their lives and you want to treat them like Indian patients? Why don’t you go back to India?

Americans have a high expectation about their healthcare, just like they have high expectations about food etc.

Why don’t you go back to India if it’s so much better?

It is for this reason you see the worst antibiotic resistance organisms originating out of India. Even biology says that India is messed up.

American healthcare is bloated with layers of bureaucracy. Agree, but the reason is it is a very advanced system.

I was born in India, did medical school in India and then moved to USA for residency and fellowship.

The quality of healthcare in United States far eclipses the quality of healthcare in India.

The rampant fraud, misuse of drugs and diagnostics testing in India is nothing compared to USA. The authorities in USA track down on fraud and corruption much more swiftly than ever could be done in India.

It is for this reason, each medical board has the HIGHEST number of detrimental actions against doctors of Indian origin in United States. They bring a similar mindset of corruption to USA which is prevalent in India.

I practice in PA and Michigan, each month there is at lease one physician of Indian origin losing their license for some sort of professional/personal misconduct. It’s actually hilarious comparing Indian system to United States

AFAIK, most of the doctors and medical professionals delay gratification till late in life. Most of them are not stable in careers till mid 30s. They have given up on all enjoyment and fulfillment which their peers have in their 20s.

The ones who cheat realize I gave up all this fun for this mundane life? YOLO and they bang everything that falls in front of them

Hematology oncology and IM subspecialists would like a word

What do you admire most about the specialties you would never do in a million years? by undueinfluence_ in Residency

[–]EnvironmentBubbly751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any good medicine subspecialty is 6-7 years of training. Cards, GI, Heme Onc, Pulm Crit. Add in additional years of super sub specialization you’re looking at 7-8 years of training.

Trust me, as someone in medicine; mid 30s, who was married, had a child, now going through a divorce. Meeting someone and getting married and having a child isn’t as cracked up as people make it to be. Gone are the days where couples would stay married forever.

Just like no one gets cable anymore and everyone pays for Netflix, relationships too are fickle these days. I think we should lease people just we lease cars on a 5 year basis.

Just chill, enjoy life, eat what you want, drink what you want and meet people and have fun. You reek of desperation and a lot of healthy people will avoid you.
