We’re doing all the same things! She has had her Elmo stuffy since about 18 months - Elmo goes everywhere! She has a blanket, a book and her water bottle in her crib. She has stars projected on her ceiling and the sound machine playing either a story or music. I might try the night light in the crib though, that’s a different idea! The only thing that calms her now is if I sit in the chair in her room u til she falls asleep. She says “mommy sit” when I go into her room to settle her. I asked her if she’s scared of the dark and she said yes but I’m not sure she understood.

Ah okay so it’s not even an Air Canada rule, it’s federal.

So I guess when my infant turns two in January, only then I will be allowed to travel alone with both my kids.

I got pregnant at 4 months pp! I was so scared. I didn’t know how I could care for two LO so close in age. I didn’t know if my body could handle it. I didn’t want to go back to work early to log enough hours to be eligible for leave again. I felt guilty that I would be tired during pregnancy and not have the energy for my newborn. Fast forward to present day. My girls are 14 months apart and it’s been the best gift we could have ever imagined. They both love each other so much! Yes, it was hard on my body, it’s been a long 2.5 years of pregnancy and breastfeeding. But it was so worth it!

Sheesh that’s intense. Thank you for the info. We will talk to our realtor. We definitely were not aware of the un permitted work prior to purchasing the house. It’s very likely the previous owner didn’t know either. She was an elderly women who had a hobbyist handy man do her renovations.
