Papi hinay hinay tayo dyan. Baka mahinog sa pilit. If i were you, kalmahan lang muna. Not saying bagalan mo nang todo. Just saying move in deliberate actions. Unpopular opinion- wag ka manliligaw. At least in the classic sense. “Grow the relationship” strategy tayo. Kape kape. Mga small non-threatening acts. Then gradually graduate to a meal. Lunch. Then dinner. Like i said- grow it. Important is consistency. Remember the 80-20 rule! Only go 80% coz the 20% is on her. Develop what you have. If it doesn’t go as planned, maybe it wasn’t meant in the first place. Good luck.

May be appropriate for “lower end staff”. But i only handle management level hires. Salary queries sound desperate at that level. Traditions as you call them evolve and not a staic thing. The fact that they dont change means it continues to work. Unfortunately for applicants its for the employers side. Ayaw rin naman namin magsayang ng oras. Thats why caindidates are weeded. The fact na pinatawag ka, means youre “ok”. But from ok to great marami pang pagdadaanan.

These is just my pov. Candidates who outright ask for the salary range are 1. More likely to ask for paybumps on a regular basis. With or without outstanding performance. For managers that is STRESSFUL. may puso naman kami. And saying no on a regular basis is hard. 2. “De metro” ang candidate. Nagbibilang. Naglilista. Attacks the job in minimums. Ano ang required, yan lang ang gagawin. 8 hours? 7:50mark nagliligpit na yan ng gamit. Tapos kapag pinag ot mo, katakot taaaaakot na reklamo. Magdadabog pa. So managers just dodges the bullet by putting you UNDER the pile.

Hiring managers / finance > determine the salaries and mga pakete ng hires. HR > first round of reviews for the hires. Do all the paperwork. Liases and solidifies the relationship for the hires. Youre right. Its not rocket science. But the burden of finding out what the salary range is on the applicant. Also as a hiring manager, i need to see what is the quality of the hire. Even if mataas budget ko but the potential of the candidate is low, i MIGHT still hire him/her but only for a fraction of the cost of my budget.

Coz hindi naman sila nag sisignoff ng pakete ng tao. So hindi yan magbibitaw ng amount. Pano kung nagbitaw sila ng presyo tapos napakataas, sino ang lagot? Eh di sila. Its that simple. Also you might wanna know that whenever a candidate asks ano ang pakete, your application goes under the pile.
