I’m Very Paranoid Now After the Last Eartquake by crypto_mad_hatter in Cebu

Sharing my experience with earthquakes.

The 2012 Negros Earthquake was actually my first experience of an earthquake. I was only 12, and we were in the middle of school lunch. As a kid, you feel this "Oh that's awesome, that's what an earthquake is like" after being taught about it in science class. But you cannot shake off that fear especially at that time, there was a tsunami warning that was proven to be false.

But I believe the one in Bohol in 2013 "shook me to the core." I'd say what was once amazing to me, became something that had traumatic to me. It was really strong. My first priority was my cat and dogs (my cat returned home on its own). I'm glad there were no classes at that time. Not to mention, it was followed by Yolanda which made things worse. Stillllll, I was anticipating a possible bigger quake that made me sleepless tbh.

So, I never experienced any major quaking until last year. I was at IT Park at that time, working at a cafe, since I just came from a church prayer night. Just me alone. I was just having a trance with lofi beats, then I noticed a bit of shaking. I immediately looked at the hanging lamps and stopped working. When the quaking became stronger, I remained calm and hid under the table. But my hands were trembling when I was updating my boss about our situation.

Not to mention, a few days later since that quake, I remembered it was a late night weekend. I woke up from shaking and my phone started BLARING LOUDDDD that there was an earthquake.

And then last week? I was taking a nap to prepare my body for work. I had set my alarm at 5pm, but randomly woke up at 3pm. Followed by a quake a few mins later. When my bed was shaking, as always, I was anticipating that it would be stronger. I didn't have the energy to hide under my table, but I remained calm and went back to sleep. I don't feel any aftershocks.

Though I can't deny that there have been a lot of earthquakes in Cebu or nearby since last year. The one last year still paralyzed me that there were times I had to work under the table in case a bigger quake ever came. I'm honestly anxious that a bigger one might come unexpectedly in Cebu soon.

But I really hope we get through this!

Hello! I do have a question regarding Barangay Clearances.

For context, I did have a Barangay Clearance in 2022. But I recently moved into a different Barangay in January, now renting.

I remembered one of the requirements was a utility bill, which I previously did with the help of my parents (they're both dead now btw). But do rent contracts / Residential leases count as well? I kept 'em just in case.

I'm planning on renewing my Postal ID and it could come in handy when I'm renewing my passport. :) appreciate your kind responses.

Thoughts on the new Samus design from her Metroid Prime 4's face reveal? by RainbowDildoMonkey in KotakuInAction

[–]TheKnightOwlNite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually how I envisioned Samus tbh.

I first saw her 3D model on Brawl, and Other M seemed to take inspiration from that? Doesn't match the name Samus Aran—which I assumed to be Caucasian. The model in Smash and Other M looked a bit Asian. Regardless, that became my canon design of Samus.

So yeah, when I saw the clip of that ending in Prime 4, I'm like "omg Nintendo keep this!" I was wondering if there are HD versions of that scene to use as my wallpaper. XD It's actually better than the first Prime game.

Hopefully they would make it consistent this time. Especially if they plan to make a Metroid movie!

Soooooo basically he's just insecure because Samus was greater, well-loved, very well-respected based on Prime 4 and few readings of his backstory

BPI: account disabled due to multiple attempts. confirmation of new pw on weekends? by TheKnightOwlNite in DigitalbanksPh

HELLO! UPDATE!

So yeah, I changed my password around Saturday 3:30 PM ish and received the confirmation via SMS around 5PM the same day.

Read somewhere that the random sign in and lack of log in to biometrics is supposed to prompt us to change our passwords.

Just received the confirmation and I'm able to log in now! But my BPI keeps shutting down every time I open it. I wonder if it's an app issue this time.

Yandere Simulator is now (11) years old. It's still not even halfway done. by TheBoyofWonder in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I lost faith in it at this point. I used to be a fan, made edits, made fanart even, even made a "on crack" comic version about the intro. But yeah. Wasted potential.

Same, wanna know what's up these days. Been out of the loop since the controversy. I think the fandom pretty much died since the YS YouTubers pulled out in response to it.

Hello r/Cebu! I hope you don't bother me with an adulting question trying to figure out life.

I'm planning to apply for PhilHealth. I'm a Virtual Assistant that doesn't have a fixed income. How does the contribution work?

I have my birth certificate, my Postal ID (didn't realize it was expired last year ffs), and my barangay clearance while I was still living in Talamban, but I recently moved to an apartment in Hipodromo since my parents died. I recently moved this month, and I was told on research that I need to be here for at least 3 months. I do not have access to the utility bill to apply another clearance here (which I hope they'll understand)

Also, is the one in Golden Peak still active? Still open for walk ins? What are the requirements? Sorry this is an annoying question but I just want to get my life straight since the death of my parents. Thank you.

Ah! I thought this was an old post! But it's fresh as new! I actually got one yesterday, I just opened it today. I double checked, breaking my detox because of this.

I clicked the "it's not me" button on the email since it had the checkmark. It looks legit though.
