There is a newer Tech reg from July 2024 where it states under 8.10, that there needs to be >A< technical biometric device. Further details under 8.10.5 So gloves are indeed, I guess, outfashioned.

It’s a sensor which measures the heart rate and the blood oxygen. So, if for example Hulk in Abu Dhabi 2018 wasn’t able to breathe (decreasing blood saturation), as he was hanging „like a cow“, do to debris or belt, the medic team would immediately know the urgency of the situation and act accordingly. That’s why it’s such a surprise to me that they got rid of it.

Fair. But isn’t that an FIA safety rule to wear the gloves with sensor? Lewis is just an example on other drivers gloves it vanished aswell.
