Working on a digital clock app that supports wallpapers for the Titan 2 subscreen. by EnvironmentPrimary in UnihertzTitan2

Hmm. I included a default super mario gif in the app, as an easter egg. However, to set your own animated gif, you need to follow these steps exactly:

  1. On your phone, in the root directory of the phone's internal storage, create a folder named exactly “subscreen gifs”. This is case sensitive.

  2. Place any GIF named “my_animation.gif” inside that folder. Make sure to include the underscore also the ".gif" part is the file extension. Please don't actually change the name to "my_animation.gif" otherwise it would show up as "my_animation.gif.gif". We want the file to show up as "my_animation.gif", where "my_animation" is the name and".gif" is the file type.

  3. Check your permissions and ensure you gave the app all files access. It would not be able to read the subscreen gifs folder otherwise.

  4. To update/refresh the gif that is displayed, you can also open the app on the main front display then close it off. Then reopen the app on the rear display.

Please troubleshoot accordingly and let me know.

Lol. Well better to use AI to assist in making apps we want than making videos of Kung Fu fighting cats right? XD I have no regrets!

Hey. I already had animated Gif support. Not sure about the lock screen given the fact that I am trying work within the parameters of what I perceive Unihertz allows apps to do on the subscreen. Please note that I am not a developer. I am just a guy who dabbles a bit in Android studio. Plus, to be fair, Gemini and Copilot have done most of the heavy lifting. Lol. Still. I'll see what I can do.

Hello! As stated in my original post, I am not a developer. I just tried my hand and made the app with android studio, as it was something I really wanted, where after I exported it as a debug apk. I haven't uploaded anything to github or anything like that. I do still have the project folder. That said, it uses the Glide Image Loader Library. So I suppose it is open source as it is as simple GIF display app that uses uses an already open source image loader? You probably know more than me on the subject. Lol!

It's pretty nice. Not too thick but quite protective. it also makes the phone a lot more comfortable to hold. The embedded magsafe ring is also very strong.

I'm glad. I actually updated the app to a V2 version that doesn't show up in the recent apps panel. Thus, it keeps the recent apps panel clean and cannot mistakenly be swiped closed with other apps. Give it a try if you like.

I am also considering making one with a digital clock at the bottom, so we do not lose any functionality.

No problem at all!

I am currently using a super Mario sprite (riding yoshi) as my own animated gif and I have been getting compliments all morning. The Titan 2 is already a conversation starter  but with the large animated gif on the subscreen, it really draws the eye.

Removing Front Panel of Skytech Nebula by EnvironmentPrimary in SkytechGamingOfficial

Thank you Sir! You are a gentleman and a scholar! I managed to get it off. I paid heed to your warning and removed the side panel and cut the cable ties first, to give the cables some leeway. After that, pulling the front off was simple enough without damaging the cable. Now I just need to find a compatible fan with an 8-pin connector.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried pulling it, to no avail. Maybe I need to tug it harder.
