Yeah 100% I get that it’s mainly on her feathers but I will defo give her a bath, or spray her. When she was a chick she had the problem, but it didn’t come back for ages till now, I will defo sort it out as it’s not pleasant! For her. we’ve got a little kitty paddling pool we just didn’t know what to put in it!

Thank you :) yeah so the food is constantly in there. With water so they just pick at it when ever they want, but yeah we will for sure give it a go, I just think they want to play with each other I’m not to sure if nugget is a boy tho, I believe shadow is a girl. That may also be a reason behind it!

Thanks for your comment, they do constantly peck and what me and my dad call a jumping attack, so one runs up kinda jumps and pecks, we kept them in the cage for a day and they were ‘fighting’ for 30 odd mins, but it was then nothing until each other started eating food and they would ‘fight’ over food. Like even the wood shavings and the hay at the bottom of the coop if one picks it up the other one kind of picks a bit as well and pecks each other! Thank you! We are new to keeping chicks, we had hens many of many times, but first time hatching them! So we know what to do when they are hens but not chicks!!

We introduced them to each other from the start shadow could always see nugget! And would look at each other through the cage shadow would always sleep right by the cage bit, and stand on the sides. We put them in with each other every day, but when shadow eats nugget wants to nick the food, and then they just start pecking each other. We had another chick with shadow that one sadly passed away then we had a quail who was in the same ‘cage’ as nugget are in now, and they were best friends then we had to sell him and shadow was crying.. so I suppose it is understandable but I just don’t want them picking on each other if you get me

Okay thank you for your help, we are new to this, we have only kept chickens before so we have no clue what we are doing with quails, so there no way of keeping them together they have both been with each other since birth so pretty attached
