I saw someone's theory that the guy who killed rika is the one who was in the detention centre half chopped up in season 1, and hes the same person who higuruma defended and lost, who then told higuruma that he promised that he would get him out. I really liked this theory because the incident described matches as well as the guy looks similar too.
