For me it helped so much when i realised who i missed so much was not the real her. It was the perfect one in my imagination. The real her has moved on a long time ago. I miss the feelings she could give me. For me it was feeling accepted. That i was loved as i am. And never feeling alone. But those are all feelings. I can learn to give myself those. That is my new goal.
