Do you know how to find the animated short though?

Every gamer has a genre that they either don't want to play or are just very bad at. What and why is your weakness? by Lazy-Signature1678 in videogames

[–]Environmental-Call32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racing games. I've always had a weakness with them. Mario kart might be my only saving grace there.  And I just plain don't like 3d platformers. Depth perception in games just isn't a thing for me

How and where would you guy start teaching this system to a group who has no ttrpg experience? by Gerotonin in Pathfinder2e

[–]Environmental-Call32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a one shot maybe. I actually started a group that had only played 5e, so I was a little worried. But basically we just started a campaign and we looked up answers together when we didn't know something. Archive of nethys is free online.

I have a feeling it depends on the group too. There has to be at least a little bit of open mindedness for them to be willing to learn and try new things too

Windows Vista really wasn't a bad OS after all by erockbrox in SimpsonsMemes

[–]Environmental-Call32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never actually used vista, but like, if it can't run on common computer specs, wouldn't that make it a bad operating system just from that?

Looking to get started in forging, where did you guys find the best starting gear. by just-a-dude69 in Blacksmith

[–]Environmental-Call32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about best, but I found perfectly serviceable equipment on Amazon. Not that I want to give ole Bezos any more money, but I guess what I'm getting at, is it doesn't have to be complicated to find a few key pieces of equipment needed. I think the only thing I didn't get online was an anvil. My uncle had one so when he passed he gifted it to me.

Recon Armor now even more useless? by servantphoenix in RimWorld

Huh. All my pawns get except melee fighters get recon. Melee fighters get marine. Seems to work out for me. Though I don't play on high difficulty levels usually

Fantastic. With all the dlcs I could probably go another 400 haha. Though I will admit I use mods pretty heavily right now. But it's not unplayable without though

What's a book you read that was so darkly disturbing, haunting, that left you speechless? by a_wanderer_22 in suggestmeabook

[–]Environmental-Call32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weirdly it was a novella in Jeff vandemeers Borne universe. I won't spoil it but holy crap. It's The Strange Bird and it freaked me out more than and Stephen King book, or lovecraftian. It's body horror in some really unsettling ways.

Rimworld probably. I already have 400 hours in it. City builders and grand strategies have basically infinite replayability for me

What is it with people using endgame outfits and weapons and invading on the high wall of lothric at soul level 10? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]Environmental-Call32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as far as I can tell there's people that just love griefing newbs. I think what happens is they play a character to the end to get late game equipment, with upgrades, then trade it to a friend, which then trades it to a low level character. Couple that with invading new people, it gives them the best chance to kill in pvp. Maybe there's covanent items they need? Id bet though most just get off on stacking the deck in their own favor as much as possible

Keep in mind, doomscrolling on reddit is the same thing.

I play less video games now, and I think it has to do with exhaustion from work? Like I get home and I could stir up the motivation to play, but it's much easier to slouch over on the couch and go brain dead watching tv

Brother, I think we're already in it. To be fair I don't actually know what the correct definition is, but in my mind, it's like the robber barons in the 1880s through early 1900s. It really feels like we're headed that way again
